Chieftains can’t fend off Panthers’ attack
By Ginna Young
Although new to the East Lakeland Conference this year, Prairie Farm is making their presence heard, as the Lake Holcombe girls basketball team found out. The Panthers came to call on the Chieftains Jan. 11, where experience was key for the visitors.
“Prairie Farm went to State last year, with many returning players,” said coach Jennifer Lechleitner.
Lechleitner hoped to keep the score closer, but by halftime, the Panthers held a 24-15 lead. Momentum wasn’t with the home team and Prairie Farm pulled ahead in the second half, to take a 56-34 win.
