Morgan Schnelle took second place ….

Morgan Schnelle took second place in the girls 100-meter dash in 12.86 seconds and Marathon sophomore Grace Kahon was third in 13.17. Red Raiders junior Lindsey Sparr placed second in the 100-meter dash in 27.77 seconds.

Morgan Schnelle won the girls long jump with 15 feet, 9-3/4 inches. Marathon sophomore Chloe LaValley took second place with 15 feet, seven inches and Edgar freshman Brooke Imhoff was fourth with 14 feet, 9-1/4 inches. Red Raiders junior Laci Hoeksema placed second in the girls high jump with four feet, 10 inches and Marathon sophomore Ashley Seliger was fourth with four feet, six inches.

Marathon freshman Jacob Smith took second place in the boys pole vault with 10 feet, six inches and Red Raiders sophomore Mathew Annis was third with 10 feet, six inches. Wolf of Edgar placed second in the boys triple jump with 42 feet, two inches and Edgar junior Mattison Butt was fourth with 40 feet. Marathon sophomore Jaron Gage placed third in the boys 1,600-meter run in five minutes, 8.87 seconds. Gage also placed third in the 800-meter run in two minutes, 12.67 seconds.

Red Raiders sophomore Drake Carlson won both the mixed 400-meter dash wheelchair and the mixed 1,600-meter run wheelchair. Red Raiders junior McKinnley Marks placed second in the girls 1,600-meter run in six minutes, 29.02 minutes and Edgar sophomore Gretchen Brewster was third in 6:31.76. Marathon senior Cullen Krasselt placed second in the 3,200-meter run.

LaValley of Marathon won the girls 300-meter hurdles in 52.12 seconds and Rachel Brewster of Edgar finished second in 52.14. Red Raiders sophomore Griffin Treankler won the boys 300-meter hurdles in 42.68 seconds and Edgar senior Nate Drabek placed fourth in 44.02. Kyle Brewster of Edgar took second place in the long jump with 19 feet, 6-3/4 inches and Austin Dahlke was third with 18 feet, 9-3/4 inches. Wildcats junior Ayden Weisenberger placed third in the high jump with five feet, six inches. Edgar senior Jasmine Schnelle took third place in the girls pole vault with seven feet, six inches. Edgar sophomore Rachel Schneider placed third in the triple jump with 31 feet, eight inches.

Marathon senior Chen Phakitthong placed fourth in the 400-meter dash in one minute, 6.94 seconds. Red Raiders junior Owen Marks took fourth in the boys 400-meter dash in one minute, 1.65 seconds.

The Wildcat boys 4x100-meter relay team of Austin Dahlke, senior Drew Guden, Wolf, Brewster, Ayden Weisenberger and freshman Karter Butt won the event in 44.53 seconds. Marathon’s 4x100-meter relay of Sweno, Dick, junior Tanner Hanke, Annis and senior Matt VandeBoom took second place in 45.12.

The Edgar girls 4x100-meter relay squad of sophomore Ella Morse, Morgan Schnelle, Hoesly, Brewster, Skrzypcak and Schneider won the event in 51.42 seconds. Marathon’s 4x100 relay of sophomores Jersey Lobner and Grace Kahon, juniors Alexandria Kraimer and Vanessa Krueger, freshman Alisha Blenker and Sparr placed second in 53.17 seconds.

Marathon’s 4x800-meter relay of Phakitthong, McKinnley Marks, Vanessa Krueger, junior Julianna Thurs, LaValley and Hoeksema placed second. Edgar’s 4x800-meter relay of Gretchen Brewster, sophomore Brooklyn Schwoerer and freshmen Natalie Thompson, Amelia Gajewski, Erica Socha and Valerie Czech placed third.

The Red Raiders 4x800-meter relay of Owen Marks, Jacob Smith, Gage and Krasselt took second place. Edgar’s 4x200-meter relay squad of Drew Guden, Ayden Weisenberger, freshman Kohlbe Weisenberger, Wolf, Brewster and Drabek won the event in one minute, 32.78 seconds. Marathon’s 4x200meter relay of Sweno, Dick, Mathwich, VandeBoom, Annis and Kindlarski placed third.

Marathon’s girl 4x200-meter relay of Kahon, freshmen Ava Krueger and Hannah Baldeshwiler, Kraimer, Vanessa Krueger and Sparr took second place. Edgar’s 4x200-meter relay of Schneider, Makenna Guden, Jasmine Schnelle, Hoesly, Imhoff and Gajewski placed fourth.

The Wildcat girls 4x400-meter relay squad of Brewster, Guden, Skrzypcak, Morse and Jasmine and Morgan Schnelle won the event in four minutes, 17.26 seconds. Marathon’s 4x400-meter relay of Ava Krueger, Hoeksema, Lobner, Thurs, Phatkitthong and Lavalley placed third. The Marathon boys 4x400meter relay of Sweno, Vandeboom, Free, Treankler and Annis placed third.

Athens at Cadott regional

Both the Athens boys and girls track and field teams took third place at the WIAA Division 3 regional in Cadott on Monday. Athletes who placed in the top four in each event advance to the Division 3 sectional in Cameron this Thursday, June 17.

Bluejays junior Elizabeth Van Rixel took second place in the 1,600-meter run in five minutes, 56.44 seconds and she was third in the 3,200-meter run in 14 minutes, 20.52 seconds.

Athens senior Montana Albrecht won the 100-meter hurdles in 15.87 seconds and she placed second in the 300-meter hurdles in 47.73. Bluejays senior Dana Felzkowski won the pole vault with 10 feet. Athens junior Caden Decker won the boys pole vault with 13 feet, six inches and Aiden Guralski placed third with 11 feet, six inches.

Bluejays sophomore Nathan Wolf took second place in both the 1,600-meter run in five minutes, 29.10 seconds and the 3,200-meter run in 12 minutes, 29.78 seconds. Wolf also placed third in the 400-meter dash in one minute, 2.55 seconds.

Athens sophomore Aiden Janke won the discus with a throw of 134 feet, eight inches. Janke took second place in the shot put with 43 feet, 2-3/4 inches and senior Michael Komarek placed fourth with 38 feet, six inches.

Montana Albrecht placed third in the triple jump with 33 feet and sophomore Katlyn Schreiner was fourth with 30 feet, 10-1/4 inches. Athens sophomore Addyson Zettler took third place in the 400-meter dash in one minute, 14.11 seconds.
