Toni L. Smith, 52, Dorchester, and a vehicle owned by Kimberly J. Christianson, 40, Medford, were involved in an accident on January 11 at 1:03 p.m. in a parking lot at 915 Casement Court in the city of Medford. According to the accident report, the Smith vehicle was backing out of a parking space when it struck the parked Christianson vehicle. Smith stated that she did not see the Christianson vehicle. Both vehicles sustained damage to their respective rear bumper corner.

Shannon J. Rinehart, 50, Medford, and Sophia D. Felland, 32, Medford, were involved in an accident on January 12 at 4:10 p.m. on Hwy 13 in the city of Medford. According to the accident report, both vehicles were northbound on Hwy 13. The Rinehart vehicle was stopped in traffic waiting for another vehicle to make a left turn when it was struck from behind by the Felland vehicle. The report stated that Felland was distracted by a pedestrian standing near the roadway and did not see that the Rinehart vehicle had stopped. The Rinehart vehicle sustained minor damage to the right rear corner. The Felland vehicle sustained damage to the front, left front corner and left side front. Operating a motor vehicle in an inattentive, careless or erratic manner and looking away from task by Felland were listed in the report as factors in the accident.

Maria T. Hustedt, 53, Medford, and Jane E. Schneider, 60, Westboro, were involved in an accident on January 15 at 2:30 p.m. in a parking lot at 1010 N. Eighth St. in the city of Medford. According to the accident report, the Hustedt vehicle backed out of a parking space and started to drive forward. The Schneider vehicle started backing out of a parking space across the aisle and struck the Hustedt vehicle. The report stated Hustedt reported using her horn and that Schneider said she did not hear it because she had her music turned up. The Hustedt vehicle sustained damage to the right rear corner. The Schneider vehicle sustained damage to the left rear corner.

Eric M. Slachetka, 22, Ogema, was involved in an accident on January 9 at 12:01 a.m. on CTH C in the town of Browning. According to the accident report, the Slachetka vehicle was northbound on CTH C when the vehicle crossed the centerline and entered the west ditch. The vehicle sustained disabling damage to the front, right front corner, right side front, left front corner and left side front. Operating a motor vehicle in an inattentive, careless or erratic manner; looking away from task; and other distraction by Slachetka were listed in the report as factors in the accident. He was issued citations for failure of operator to notify police of an accident, inattentive driving, improper display of license plate/tag/decal and non-registration of vehicle.

Michael O. Harrenstein, 63, Rib Lake, was involved in an accident on January 15 at 4:45 a.m. at the intersection of Trout Avenue and Peche Drive in the town of Rib Lake. According to the accident report, the Harrenstein vehicle was southbound on Peche Drive when the driver braked for the stop sign at the intersection with Trout Avenue. The vehicle slid through the intersection and struck a utility pole guide wire, cracking the pole near the base. Harrenstein sustained possible injury in the accident, but was not transported for medical treatment. The vehicle sustained damage to the right side front, left side middle, left side rear and left rear corner. It was towed from the scene. Weather and road surface conditions, and speeding too fast for conditions by Harrenstein were listed in the report as factors in the accident.

Mary T. Cieslewicz, 65, Menomonee Falls, was involved in an accident on January 15 at 9:20 a.m. at the intersection of CTH M and Zink Road in the town of Greenwood. According to the accident report, the Cieslewicz vehicle was westbound on CTH M. The driver stated she had cruise control on and tapped the bake to disengage it. The vehicle started to slide and the driver lost control of the vehicle. The vehicle entered the ditch and struck the embankment for Zink Road. The vehicle traveled over Zink Road and struck the stop sign at the intersection before coming to a stop in a group of trees/ bushes on the east side of Zink Road. The vehicle sustained damage to the front, right front corner, right rear corner, left front corner, left rear corner and undercarriage. It was towed from the scene. Weather and road surface conditions and speeding too fast for conditions by Cieslewicz were listed in the report as factors in the accident.

Kaitlin N. Kowalski, 19, Stetsonville, was involved in an accident on January 15 at 10:47 a.m. on Gibson Drive in the town of Little Black. According to the accident report, the Kowalski vehicle was northbound on Gibson Drive when the driver lost control on the ice- and snowcovered roadway and the vehicle entered the east ditch. Kowalski sustained possible injuries but was not transported for medical treatment. The vehicle sustained minor damage to the front, right front corner, left front corner and undercarriage. Weather and road surface conditions were listed in the report as factors in the accident.

Derek J. Ploeckelman, 21, Medford, was involved in an accident on January 15 at 5:30 a.m. on Sunset Road in the town of Medford. According to the accident report, the Ploeckelman vehicle was southbound on Sunset Road when the vehicle began to hydroplane on the snow- and slush-covered roadway. The vehicle entered the west ditch and struck an embankment for a snowmobile trail. The vehicle traveled over the snowmobile trail and came to a stop in the ditch between the snowmobile trail and a driveway embankment at N3345 Sunset Rd. The vehicle sustained disabling damage to the front and undercarriage. Weather and road surface conditions were listed in the report as factors in the accident.

An unknown vehicle was involved in a hit-and-run accident on January 15 at 8:48 a.m. on CTH V in the town of McKinley. According to the accident report, an unknown vehicle struck a mailbox on the south shoulder of the roadway at W16663 CTH V and entered the west ditch where it struck a power pole before leaving the scene.

Sharon S. Stahnke, 63, Medford, on January 18 at 5:19 a.m. on Martin Drive in the town of Goodrich.
