The sheriff’s department report in last week’s The Star News on an accident involving Evan P. Lewandowski, 29, Medford, listed it as a hit-and-run accident. The sheriff’s department issued a revised report that does not list it as a hit-andrun accident.

Megan J. Ryskoski, 17, Medford, and Sara K, Nuernberger, 56, Medford, were involved in an accident on December 29 at 11:24 a.m. on Hwy 64 in the city of Medford. According to the accident report, the Ryskoski vehicle was eastbound on Hwy 64. The Nuernberger vehicle was westbound on Hwy 64 and made a left turn in front of the Ryskoski vehicle. Nuernberger stated she did not see the Ryskoski vehicle. The Ryskoski vehicle sustained damage to the front, right front corner, right side front and left front corner. The Nuernberger vehicle sustained damage to the right side rear and right rear corner. Failure to yield the right-ofway by Nuernberger was listed in the report as a factor in the accident. She was issued a citation for failing to yield while making a left turn.

Kari K. Travis, 38, Medford, and Mary A. Meyer, 88, Medford, were involved in an accident on January 1 at 9:31 a.m. on Cedar Street in the city of Medford. According to the accident report, both vehicles were backing out of driveways on opposite sides of the street and collided with each other. The Travis vehicle sustained minor damage to the rear, left rear corner and left side rear. The Meyer vehicle sustained damage to the rear, right rear corner and left rear corner.

Patrick J. Daniels, 64, Phillips, and Dylan J. Reierson, 21, Medford, were involved in an accident on January 2 at 11:35 a.m. at the intersection of Hwy 64 and Main Street in the city of Medford. According to the accident report, both vehicles were westbound on Hwy 64. The Daniels vehicle was making a left turn onto Main Street when it was struck from behind by the Reierson vehicle. Reierson stated that the accident happened because he was texting on his cell phone. Both vehicles sustained minor damage to their respective ends. Operating a motor vehicle in an inattentive, careless or erratic manner and manually operating a hand-held mobile phone by Reierson were listed in the report as factors in the accident. He was issued a citation for texting while driving.

Raven S. Crabb, 21, Gilman, was involved in an accident on December 23 at 6:30 a.m. on CTH B in the town of Ford. According to the accident report, the Crabb vehicle was southbound on CTH B approaching a curve in the roadway when the vehicle continued straight into the west ditch. The vehicle traveled back

Michael E. Thums, 70, Westboro, was involved in an accident on December 23 at 3:05 p.m. on CTH D in the town of Rib Lake. According to the accident report, the Thums vehicle was eastbound on CTH D when the driver lost control on a patch of slush. The vehicle entered the south ditch and struck a tree. The vehicle sustained disabling damage to the front, right front corner and left front corner. Weather and road surface conditions were listed in the report as factors in the accident.

Kyle R. Petrick, 19, Medford, was involved in an accident on December 31 at 2:56 p.m. at N4369 CTH E in the town of Hammel. According to the accident report, the Petrick vehicle was pulling up to the gas pump at Fuzzy’s General Store when it slid on a patch of snow and ice into the pump, breaking several fuel lines. Petrick stated that he just bought the vehicle and currently did not have insurance on it. There was no damage to the Petrick vehicle. Road surface condition, and speeding too fast for conditions and failure to control by Petrick were listed in the report as factors in the accident.

Alyssa L. Bichner, 23, Chippewa Falls, was involved in an accident on December 30 at 7:45 p.m. on Rindt Road in the town of Westboro. According to the accident report, the Bichner vehicle was westbound on Rindt Road when the driver failed to negotiate a sharp curve in the roadway. The vehicle skidded on the snow-covered roadway and entered the west ditch where it tipped onto the driver’s side. The vehicle sustained disabling damage to the entire left side and undercarriage. It was towed from the scene. Road surface condition, and speeding too fast for conditions and failure to control by Bichner were listed in the report as factors in the accident.

The following deer-related accidents were reported: Robert G. Carlson, 78, Ogema, on December 22 at 8:30 a.m. on Hwy 13 in the town of Westboro.

Patrick L. Noland, 16, Medford, on December 22 at 6:02 p.m. on Hwy 102 in the town of Westboro.

Kristine C. Zondlo, 67, Rib Lake, on December 31 at 5:18 p.m. on Hwy 13 in the town of Medford.

Jesse A. Patten, 37, Edgar, on January 2 at 7 a.m. on Hwy 64 in the town of Ford.

Anthony R. Doucette, 19, Medford, on January 3 at 12:29 a.m. on CTH E in the town of Little Black.

Cameron L. Sullivan, 22, Jim Falls, on January 3 at 5:05 p.m. on Hwy 64 in the town of Ford.
