Peter A. Henrichs, 85, Medford, and Brandy M. Neubauer, 27, Dorchester, were involved in an accident on October 31 at 12:15 p.m. at the intersection of CTH E and Hwy 64 in the town of Hammel. According to the accident report, a semi tractor-trailer unit operated by Henrichs was westbound on Hwy 64 and preparing to turn south onto CTH E. An unknown vehicle on CTH E was stopped at the stop sign at the intersection, obstructing Henrich’s view and ability to turn onto CTH E. The Neubauer vehicle was stopped behind the unknown vehicle. Henrichs turned onto CTH E and the rear driver’s side wheels on the trailer scraped against the rear driver’s side panel of the Neubauer vehicle, causing minor damage. Henrichs was unaware of the contact and continued to the Medford Co-op on Gravel Road. Neubauer followed the Henrichs vehicle to the Co-op and notified him of the incident after contacting law enforcement. The Henrichs semi tractor had recently been purchased and registered, but no license plate had been issued. He was issued a warning for failure to display a license plate. Neubauer was issued a warning for operating with an expired driver’s license (one month).

Jayne T. Brandner, 65, Rib Lake, was involved in an accident on October 27 at 10:02 a.m. on South Whelen Avenue in the city of Medford. According to the accident report, Brandner was southbound on South Whelen Avenue and intending to turn into the employee parking lot of the place where she works. Brandner stated that she had a coughing episode and missed the turn. The vehicle went through a ditch, damaging the front bumper.

Zachery D. Blasel, 22, Abbotsford, was involved in an accident on October 31 at 11:25 p.m. at the intersection of Hwy 13 and Ann’s Way in the city of Medford. According to the accident report, the Blasel vehicle was southbound on Hwy 13 through the roundabout at the intersection with Ann’s Way. Blasel stated he was not paying attention and the vehicle struck the curb. Blasel continued driving south and eventually pulled over to the side of the road due to disabling damage to the right side front of the vehicle. Failure to control and the driver’s condition were listed in the report as factors in the accident. Blasel was issued citations for operating while under the influence and failure to keep vehicle under control-second or greater offense.

Michael J. Moser, 35, Prentice, was involved in an accident on November 1 at 3:24 p.m. on CTHM in the town of Greenwood. According to the accident report, law enforcement was dispatched to a vehicle in the ditch on CTH M near W4007 CTH M. The report stated the driver of the vehicle was attempting to solicit help from neighbors to get the vehicle removed from the ditch and one of the neighbors reported it to law enforcement and advised the driver appeared to be under the influence. The report went on to state when the officer arrived at the scene, he observed several pieces of undercarriage of the vehicle had broken off during the accident. The report stated the officer made contact with the complainant and was advised they last saw the driver walking eastbound on CTH M trying to find someone to help. The report stated as the officer attempted to locate the driver, he was informed the driver had left the scene in an older model red car. The report stated the officer located the red car and made a traffic stop where the passenger in the vehicle admitted to drinking intoxicating beverages and being the driver of the vehicle involved in the accident. The report stated the vehicle was removed from the scene prior to the officer taking pictures. Moser was issued citations for operating while under the influence-fifth or sixth offense, operating while revoked and occupant failing to report an accident.

A vehicle owned by Shantel A. Faude, Medford, and an unknown vehicle were involved in a hit-and-run accident on October 24 at 11:30 p.m. in a parking lot at W7958 Hwy 64 in the town of Hammel. According to the accident report, a witness observed an unknown pickup truck backing from a parking space and struck the legally-parked and unoccupied Faude vehicle, causing minor damage to the rear passenger side door. The unknown vehicle then left the scene.

The following deer-related accidents were reported: Mark V. Anderson, 67, Prentice, on October 27 at 2:57 p.m. on Hwy 13 in the town of Westboro.

Angela L. Oswalt, 48, Colby, on October 27 at 8:29 p.m. on Hwy 13 in the town of Little Black.

Scott A. Schmutzler, 57, Abbotsford, on October 28 at 3:09 a.m. on Hwy 13 in the town of Little Black.

Preston D. Walters, 16, Rib Lake, on October 29 at 10:14 p.m. on CTH M in the town of Greenwood.

Brook K. Johnson, 27, Medford, on October 30 at 7:54 p.m. on CTH A in the town of Deer Creek.

Steven A. Stein, 51, Abbotsford, on October 31 at 7:35 a.m. on Hwy 13 in the town of Westboro.

Kayla G. U. L. Vermaat, 16, Medford, on October 31 at 9:57 a.m. on CTH E in the town of Molitor.
