Hawks host meet in RL today

Chequamegon’s Claudia Lasiowski in an early-season matchup between first-team All-Marawood runners. Lasiowski was last year’s conference runner-up.

Junior Kylee Goodrich had a solid outing, taking fourth out of 16 runners in 25:57, an improvement of 2:28 over the Medford scrimmage and 1:17 faster than last fall’s Timm’s Hill Invite. Leah Thums finished sixth in 26:13, while Stacey Gustafson were ninth and 10th in 29:05. Holm cut 55 seconds off her Medford time, while Gustafson shaved 10 seconds. Nadia Czahor was 16th in 34:16, cutting 3:59 off her Medford time.

Chequamegon’s Autumn Michalski was third in 25:19 and Jovi Miguel was fifth in 26:01.

The Hawks host another meet today, Thursday, this time at the Rib Lake Elementary School course, starting at 4:30 p.m. Auburndale, Wisconsin Rapids Assumption and Phillips are scheduled to attend. Then it’s on to the Stratford Quad at 5 p.m. on Tuesday where the Hawks will join the host Tigers, Edgar and Phillips.
