Multi-vehicle accident

Jake B. Rau, 18, Stetsonville, Gregorio A. Ramirez, 55, Rib Lake, and Michael L. Radtke, 42, Rib Lake, were involved in an accident on April 12 at 1:49 p.m. on Hwy 13 in the town of Medford. According to the accident report, the Rau vehicle was southbound on Hwy 13 when the driver lost control of the vehicle on a patch of slush on the roadway. The vehicle spun into the northbound lane of traffic and was struck in the front by the Ramirez vehicle. The impact caused the Rau vehicle to spin 180 degrees where it was struck in the back by the Radtke vehicle, which was also northbound on Hwy 13. Ramirez sustained suspected minor injuries and was transported to Aspirus Medford Hospital for medical treatment. A passenger in the Ramirez vehicle was not injured in the accident. Radtke reported he had pain but was not looked at by medical personnel nor transported for medical treatment. Rau was not injured in the accident. All three vehicles sustained disabling damage and were towed from the scene. Weather conditions, road surface conditions and speeding to fast for conditions by Rau were listed in the report as factors in the accident. Radtke was issued a citation for operating a vehicle without insurance.

Aurora N. Leonhard, 18, Chippewa Falls, and Larry L. Gengler, 69, Stetsonville, were involved in an accident on April 6 at 2:10 p.m. in the parking lot at Kwik Trip, 177 S. Eighth St. in the city of Medford. According to the accident report, the Leonhard vehicle was parked at a gas pump. The Gengler vehicle was driving though the parking lot to exit the lot. The driver of the Leonhard vehicle did not see the Gengler vehicle and pulled away from the gas pump to exit the parking lot, The front bumper of the Leonhard vehicle struck the rear driver’s side wheel of the Gengler vehicle. Both vehicles sustained minor damage in the accident.

Paul A. Morschauser Sr., 62, Medford, and Samantha L. Wilmoth, 29, Westboro, were involved in an accident on April 10 at 11:24 a.m. at the intersection of Hwy 13 and Broadway Avenue in the city of Medford. According to the accident report, both vehicles were northbound on Hwy 13. The Morschauser vehicle was stopped in traffic for a red light in the left turn lane at the intersection with Broadway Avenue. The Wilmoth vehicle was following behind the Morschauser vehicle. Wilmoth stated her foot slipped off the brake pedal and she was unable to stop in time to avoid striking the Morschauser vehicle. The Morschauser vehicle sustained minor damage to the rear. The Wilmoth vehicle sustained disabling damage to the front, right front corner and left front corner. Following too close by Wilmoth was listed in the report as a factor in the accident. She was issued a citation for automobile following too closely.

Joshua J. Bucki, 37, Medford, and Lawrence M. Salzman, 67, Medford, were involved in an accident on April 10 at 8:20 p.m. on East South Street in the city of Medford. According to the accident report, the Bucki vehicle was westbound on East South Street. The Salzman vehicle was backing out of a driveway and the driver did not see the Bucki vehicle. The Bucki vehicle sustained minor damage to the right side rear and right side corner. The Salzman vehicle sustained minor damage to the rear and right rear corner. Looked but did not see by Salzman was listed in the report as a factor in the accident.

Steven G. Voss, 73, Stetsonville, and James C. Freudenthal, 43, Medford, were involved in an accident on April 12 at 12:43 p.m. on Oriole Drive in the town of Deer Creek. According to the accident report, the Freudenthal vehicle was southbound on Oriole Drive. The Voss vehicle was plowing a driveway at N2216 Oriole Drive and pushing the snow across the roadway into an open field when it struck the Freudenthal vehicle. Both drivers stated they did not see the other vehicle. The Freudenthal vehicle sustained minor damage to the left rear corner, left side rear and left side middle. There was no damage to the Voss vehicle. Weather conditions, road surface conditions and looked but did not see by both drivers were listed in the report as factors in the accident.

Benjamin C. Brulz, 17, Thorp, was involved in an accident on April 9 at 11 p.m. at the intersection of Elm Drive and Eighth Avenue in the town of Roosevelt. According to the accident report, the Brulz vehicle was southbound on Eighth Avenue when the driver failed to stop for the stop sign at the intersection with Elm Drive. The vehicle continued through the intersection and struck an embankment. The vehicle continued to travel uphill into a field before coming to a stop. The vehicle sustained disabling damage to the front, right front corner, right side front, left front corner and left side front. Speeding too fast for conditions by Brulz was listed in the report as a factor in the accident. He was issued a citation for failure of operator to notify the police of an accident.

Robert J. Miller, 41, Medford, and a vehicle owned by Hailey A. Kollmansberger, Medford, were involved in a hit-and-run accident on April 9 at 9:28 a.m. on South Park Avenue in the city of Medford. According to the accident report, the Kollmansberger vehicle was legally-parked and unoccupied on South Park Avenue. The Miller vehicle was backing out of a driveway and struck the Kollmansberger vehicle. Miller initially left the scene after the accident, but was later identified and identified himself as the driver. He stated the Kollmansberger was not normally parked there and that he left the scene as the accident had occurred around 5 a.m. The Kollmansberger vehicle sustained damage to the left side front and left side middle. The Miller vehicle sustained minor damage to the right rear corner. Looked but did not see by Miller was listed in the report as a factor in the accident.
