A CLUE - Cooper, a student at St. John’s in Edgar, reads a clue during last Thursday’s scavenger hunt. Students in grades 3K through fourth were divided into teams, and the children had to find clues that brought them to different areas of the school where they found snacks. After they had collected all of their snacks, the students gathered in the cafeteria to learn more about how each snack connected to a Bible story. For example, the students found apple jacks and gummy worms to represent the apple and the serpent in the story of Adam and Eve; they found goldfish to represent the disciples as fishermen; and they found animal crackers to represent the animals that Noah had with him on the ark and marshmallows to represent the clouds he saw.
