Superintendent’s Corner

As summer comes to a close, and we prepare for a new academic year, I want to extend a warm welcome back to our school district community. I hope you have enjoyed a restful break, and are ready for an exciting, and productive year ahead.

Our dedicated teachers and staff have been working hard to prepare for the school year, and we are eager to welcome all of you into our schools.

This year promises to be filled with opportunities for growth, learning, and achievement.

I look forward to collaborating with parents, teachers, and community partners to ensure our students receive the best education possible. Our shared commitment to excellence in education, and the well-being of our students will guide us as we work together to foster a supportive and innovative learning environment.

Together, we will embrace new opportunities, tackle challenges, and celebrate our successes.

As the district administrator, my vision is to build cohesive teams with a shared purpose, and leadership that fosters a positive work environment for our staff, and instills pride in our students. The strong traditions and academic excellence to which we hold our students, families, staff, and community make the School District of Athens a wonderful place to learn and work. It takes a supportive and kind community of individuals to continue these traditions, and instill high expectations for everyone.

Your child and your family are incredibly important to us, and we truly value your engagement in our school community.
