UW-Madison has recognized Marathon students named to the dean’s list for the spring semester of the 2021-2022 academic year. They are Sage Fritz, College of Agricultural & Life Sciences, dean’s list; Gracie Gage, School of Education, dean’s list; Shane Kahan, College of Engineering, dean’s honor list; Cullen Krasselt, College of Engineering, dean’s honor list; Ann Seliger, College of Agricultural & Life Sciences, dean’s list. To be eligible for the dean’s list, students must complete a minimum of 12 graded degree credits in that semester. UW-Stevens Point honored more than 2,130 undergraduate students for attaining high grade point averages during the spring semester of the 2021-2022 academic year. Three Marathon students were recognized: Emma Baeseman, high honors; Hannah Hornung, high honors; and Keean Turnquist, high honors.

High honor citations go to those with grade point averages from 3.75 to 3.89

Football camp

Marathon Public School will offer a summer youth football camp Tuesday through Thursday, July 19-21. The session for youth grades two through five will be held between 12:30 p.m. and 1:45 p.m. A session for grades six through eight will be between 2 p.m. and 3:30 p.m.

Volleyball camp

A Marathon girls volleyball camp will be held Tuesday through Thursday, July 26-28, for sixth, seventh and eighth graders in the new high school gymnasium.

The camp is designed to improve individual skill while learning defensive strategies and celebrating healthy competition through team drills and games.

Marathon High School volleyball coaches and players will be instructors at the camp.

St. Matthew’s

Registration is open for St. Matthew’s Vacation Bible School to be held Monday, July 18, through Friday, July 22, with daily classes 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. The school is for children ages three and one-half through seventh grade.
