And we’re off ...

My name is Eddie Ikert and I am excited to have the opportunity to be the Elementary Principal in Spencer. We have gotten off to a great start and have a lot of positive energy in the building. We have adopted a new ELA curriculum this year and are looking forward to building community connections through the curriculum. We are also looking into some fundraising and opportunities to be able to utilize our school forest. There will be some information coming out this fall about being a part of our school forest committee for those interested. Elementary students have some fun activities already scheduled this year with an author visit, a character education assembly, and Kindness in Chalk all on the agenda already for this fall. We have a lot of new staff in our building to start this and all have done a great job having things ready and building relationships early in the school year.
