Half-way there already

It is hard to believe that the 2021-2022 school year is already half done! We are proud and excited for all that has been accomplished during the first half of this school year and are excited for all of the possibilities as we move into the second semester!

We would like to celebrate:

• Mrs. Shannon Malone, our reading interventionist, was named as a Teacher of Distinction by the Marshfield Area Chamber of Commerce and Industry. She was nominated by her students and selected by her peers. Congratulations, Mrs. Malone!!

• A school report card rating from the state of Wisconsin that shows that Spencer Elementary School student achievement is well above state average. In fact, the achievement shown by our elementary students on the Wisconsin Forward exam, an assessment taken annually by our 3rd-5th grade students in the areas of reading and math, shows that our elementary students’ achievement rating is better than 75 percent of districts in the state of Wisconsin! • The acknowledgement and celebration of our Student of the Month. So far this year the following students have been recognized: Liam Pluger (October), Olivia Seefeldt (November), and Jairo Luna (December). • The show must go on! Our elementary students, under the direction of Ms. Amanda Seefeldt, were able to continue the long-standing tradition of our holiday concert. Our students performed Christmas favorites during two shows on Dec. 9. Miss Seefeldt and all the students should be very proud of show performed. In the elementary school, we are looking forward to Random Acts of Kindness Week. During the week of Feb. 7, our students and staff will be involved in activities to promote kindness both within our building and community. This is a favorite week in our elementary school, and we look forward to celebrating and spreading kindness and appreciation both within and outside of our school walls.
