Solve a mystery in Greenwood
Do you like solving mysteries? Are you looking for something fun and interactive? Then mark it down because “Greenwood Get A Clue” is coming to Greenwood’s End of Summer Fest on Sept. 11.
You may know the story – Mr. Boddy has been murdered and it’s up to you to figure out Who Dunnit! Yes, it’s like classic clue, except this time there’s a twist. The game board is Greenwood and the suspects have come to life.
How does it work? All detectives gather at the Greenwood Public Library at noon to meet the characters, hear their alibis, pick up your free Clue Case File, and get your first clue. The Clue Case File includes names of characters, weapons, locations involved in the murder, hints of where to investigate, a text-for-hint option, and a place to write your final accusation. Super Sleuths can work individually or in groups; kids, families and adults are all welcome to solve the mystery. There is no cost to play so get your investigative skills ready and crack the case.
“I’m super excited to bring this game to Greenwood Summer Fest for a second year” said Brenda Thomas, the coordinator of the event. “We learned some valuable lessons from two years ago and since then have gone to several escape room experiences; we’ve created this to be even more interactive with a mix of players physically finding clues as well as solving puzzles. I think it’s going to be a lot of fun for kids and adults.”
Outline of WHERE to be & WHEN: -- 11:45am – Register for Greenwood Get a Clue (sign up yourself or team) – Greenwood Public Library Park -- Noon – Hear the story, witness characters sharing alibis, get your Clue Case File and first clue – Greenwood Public Library Park -- Branstiter’s musuem is open until 3 p.m.: there are critical clues you’ll need from there.
-- 3 p.m. – End of Summerfest Parade – Watch for clue characters on parade float; Get a clue or hint from them.
-- 6:30 p.m. – Detectives, turn in your Clue Case File with your final accusation. (near band trailer on Main Street).
-- 7 p.m. – Final Reveal – hear the characters’ final alibis and find out if you solved the murder mystery of Greenwood Get A Clue. Prizes will be drawn from correct accusations. – band trailer on Main Street (across from Kwik Trip) immediately following Red Higgins.
