The Senior Farmer’s Market Nutrition Program helps seniors to access fresh, nutritious, locally grown fruits, herbs, and vegetables. The vouchers will be available starting June 15. Clark County households in which the total income is at or below 185 percent of the federal poverty guideline, and in which an individual age 60 or older or Native American age 55 or older resides are eligible to receive the vouchers. There will be strict guidelines for distribution of the Farmer’s Market Vouchers. These guidelines were approved by the COVID-19 Crisis Team.

The county will have restricted distribution sites with “Safety First Protocols” in place. The distribution sites will have limited or restricted access. For example, at the housing complexes, only residents of that housing units can complete the application in the building. For people residing in the community, we will make arrangements to meet you in the community parking lot or gazebo outside the facility. You can call the ADRC phone number to have a worker come out to complete the application with you.

We need your cooperation to facilitate a smooth distribution of vouchers. If you did not apply for energy assistance since fall, 2019 or Homestead Credit (2019) we can complete those applications if you bring verification of your income.

When you apply, you will receive a list of Farmer’s Markets and farm stands in Clark County and the surrounding areas as well as nutrition education materials.
