Area students earn college honors

Northcentral Technical College

The Northcentral Technical College (NTC) Foundation has awarded nearly 200 scholarships totaling over $116,000 to students who will be pursuing higher education at NTC during the Spring 2020 term. The following local students were recently awarded scholarships to help them finance their education while pursuing their dreams: Loyal: Jordan Radue Spencer: Elizabeth Endreas, Brooke Lenz Willard: Brian Miller University of Iowa

Bailey Cichon, a University of Iowa student from Greenwood, has been named to the Dean’s List for the recently-completed fall 2019 semester. Cichon’s major is Journalism and Mass Communication in the UI’s College of Liberal Arts and Sciences.

Northern Illinois University

Northern Illinois University announces its fall 2019 Dean’s List students. To earn this distinction, students must meet a minimum semester grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale in the College of Engineering and Engineering Technology or a minimum of 3.75 on a 4.0 scale in the colleges of Business, Education, Health and Human Sciences, Liberal Arts and Sciences, and Visual and Performing Arts.

Logan Zschernitz of Spencer is majoring in Mechanical Engineering - B.S. and is a graduate of Spencer High School.

UW-Green Bay The University of Wisconsin-Green Bay has made public the names of undergraduate students receiving semester honors for the fall 2019 semester. Students who earn a 4.0 grade point average, which represents all “A” grades, receive highest honors. High honors go to students earning 3.99 to 3.75 grade point averages. Honors are given to students earning 3.74 to 3.50 grade point averages.
