Informational meeting set for FSA revenue/price loss programs
The Clark and Taylor-Price County Farm Service Agency, along with the University of Wisconsin-Extension, are hosting Agriculture Revenue Coverage/ Price Loss Coverage (ARC/PLC) informational meetings: -- Tuesday, Jan. 7 at 11:30 am - Abbotsford City Hall, 203 N. 1st Street, Abbotsford.
-- Wednesday, Jan. 15 at 1 p.m. - Abbotsford City Hall, 203 N. 1st Street, Abbotsford ARC/PLC info portion starts at 1 p.m., (no cost) as part of UW-Extension’s “Kickoff to Taking the Pulse of Your Farm Business” program. If producers wish to attend the entire day of “Pulse” program, contact UW-Extension to register. A $20 fee includes lunch and materials -- Thursday, January 16 at 11:30 a.m. Normal Bldg, 2nd floor Conference Room, 104 S. Eyder Street, Phillips.
The ARC Program is an income support program that provides payments when actual crop revenue declines below a specifi ed guarantee level. The PLC Program provides income support payments when the effective price for a covered commodity falls below its effective reference price.
The informational meeting will cover changes to the program, program election and enrollment options, and program deadlines. All producers are encouraged to attend.
