CRASH REPORTS
On September 24 at 4:25 p.m., a vehicle operated by Ruth Hoover, 28, of Owen, was traveling westbound on Hwy 64 in the town of Hammel with two minor passengers. A semi with trailer owned by Lakeland Forestry of Sheldon and operated by Michael Ferguson, 42, of Cornell, was also westbound on Hwy 64 following the Hoover vehicle. According to the crash report, Hoover intended to turn southbound on CTH E, but drove past the intersection. Hoover quickly stopped the vehicle in traffic in an attempt to make the turn. Ferguson was unable to react or stop in time before colliding with the back of the Hoover vehicle. Both vehicles sustained functional damage. TAYLOR COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT
