Trials slated

The following made initial appearances in court and entered pleas of not guilty: Jose L. Bautista Cruz, 22, Medford, operating while under the influence-first offense [prohibited alcohol concentration (PAC) greater than or equal to 0.15 percent] and operating with a PAC greater than or equal to 0.15 percent-first offense; Troy A. Birch Sr., 54, Lublin, disorderly conduct-domestic abuse; Keith R. Cota Jr., 37, Medford, operating while revoked, operating while under the influence-third offense, operating with a PAC-third offense and failure of operator to notify police of an accident; Manuel Garcia Salas, 26, Dorchester, operating without a valid licensethird or greater offense within three years; Lauren E. Heier, 18, Medford, truancy-first offense; Eric M. Hoium, 51, Janesville, fishing with more than three hooks/ lines/baits (one to two over); Kent R. Mayer, 40, Medford, operating an unregistered snowmobile; Jason W. McKelvey, 33, Medford, operating while revoked; Angila M. Mercer, 20, Menomonie, solicitation and direct sales violation; Scott A. J. Miller, 43, Columbus, operating while revoked; Lori A. Olson, 42, Rib Lake, operating while revoked; Travis R. Kreklau, 33, Stetsonville, operating while suspended.

Seth M. Cegler, 17, Sheldon, made an initial appearance in court and entered into a deferred prosecution agreement for a period of six months for a charge of driving too fast for conditions. Upon successful completion of the first offenders program, the court will dismiss the case.

Jesse J. Bablick, 17, Medford, failed to appear in court for trial and was found guilty by default judgment of failure to yield the right-of-way from a stop sign. He was ordered to pay a forfeiture of $223.30.

Nichole E. Odell, 27, Plover, was found guilty at court trial of resisting/obstructing an officer and was ordered to pay a forfeiture of $515.50.

Mauricio Miranda Lopez, 20, Unity, pled no contest to operating while under the influence-first offense (PAC greater than or equal to 0.15 percent). Miranda Lopez forfeited $972.50; his driver’s license was revoked for seven months; an ignition interlock device (IID) is to be installed on his vehicle for 12 months; and he must complete an alcohol and drug assessment and follow through with a driver safety plan.

Miranda Lopez also pled no contest to operating without a valid license-first offense and forfeited $200.50.

A charge of operating with a PAC greater than or equal to 0.15 percent-first offense against Miranda Lopez was dismissed on the court’s own motion.

Marco C. Nuriez, 37, Rib Lake, pled no contest to operating while under the influence-first offense (PAC greater than or equal to 0.15 percent). Nuriez forfeited $1,098.50; his driver’s license was revoked for nine months; an IID is to be installed on his vehicle for 12 months; and he must complete an alcohol and drug assessment and follow through with a driver safety plan.

Nuriez also pled no contest to operating without a valid license-first offense and forfeited $200.50.

A charge of operating with a PAC greater than or equal to 0.15 percent-first offense against Nuriez was dismissed on the court’s own motion.

Lee R. Schackleton, 45, Gilman, pled guilty to operating while under the influence-first offense (PAC greater than or equal to 0.15 percent). Schackleton forfeited $1,035.50; his driver’s license was revoked for seven months; an IID is to be installed on his vehicle for 12 months; he must attend the victim impact panel; and he must complete an alcohol and drug assessment and follow through with a driver safety plan.

A charge of operating with a PAC greater than or equal to 0.15 percent-first offense against Schackleton was dismissed on the court’s own motion.

$639.49: Shane D. Petrie, 27, Rib Lake, retail theft (restitution).

$389.50: Benjamin C. Brulz, 17, Thorp, failure of operator to notify police of an accident; Jeremy J. Cash, 36, Kenosha, unauthorized timber theft; Meranda L. Gehrke, 46, Owen, failure of operator to notify police of an accident.

$230.90: Lewis W. Leid, 39, Withee, fishing without a license.

$225.70: Ezekiel J. Glick, 20, Medford, speeding 20-24 mph over the limit; Colten A. Quante, 20, Medford, speeding 20-24 mph over the limit; Tommy L. Wilkes, 34, Gilman, speeding 20-24 mph over the limit.
