Teaching positions filled for Abbotsford schools Teachers to fill all the positions in both the high school and grade school for the coming term have been secured. Robert Cleworth, Eugene Vader, Mrs. Mary Nolan, Mrs. Claire Abrahamson and Ray Szymanski will be added to the staff.

$130,000 housing project approved for Dorchester The Dorchester Non-Profit Housing Corporation has been notified of the approval of $130,000 loan by the Farmer’s Home Administration to construct four duplex rental units.
Summer program asked for by Colby school residents A request for some form of a summer recreation program to be incorporated into the 1973-74 budget and a discussion of the possibility of a later starting date for schools occupied the major portion of the meeting of the Colby School Board.

Stephens, Siegel resign from Abby State Bank The number one and number two men at the Abbotsford State Bank have resigned their positions and plan to open a new bank in Wausau.
Mrs. Gumz will be honored annually and perennially A public dedication of the Elizabeth Gumz Memorial Garden at Holton Town Hall will take place on Wednesday, July 1. The garden was created in honor of the Holton 4-H club’s longtime leader, Elizabeth Gumz.
Local athletes compete at Special Olympics state meet Four athletes from Colby competed at the 1998 State Summer Games for Special Olympics. Participants included Elizabeth Bobbe, Eric Firnstahl, Crystal Grewe and Renae Sobeck.
