alendar Abby/Colby Farmer’s Market

The AbbyColby Crossings Chamber of Commerce will be hosting a Farmer’s Market at the Dehne Street Plaza in Colby from 2 - 6 p.m. on Fridays through October. The event will feature homemade items, local foods and crafts from the area. DorchEster Cemetery Cleanup

Three years ago, the Dorchester Cemetery Association enacted a new ruling that prohibits the placement of flowers, vases and/or any other container that is not located and contained on the base of the stone. This is necessary to ensure that the lawn mowing and weed removal process can take place. Any article or container remaining on the outside of the base on the ground (except for one shepherd hook in the ground by the base) beginning September 1 will be removed. Computer classes for older adults The Aging and Disability Research Center of Clark County along with Chippewa Valley Technical College will be offering six weeks of classes for older adults looking to learn more about computers.

The workshops will take place at the Loyal Public Library at 214 N Main Street in Loyal. The next group of sessions will run for six weeks on Aug. 29, Sept. 5,12, 19 and 26 and Oct. 3. The sessions are held on Tuesday mornings from 10 - 11:30 a.m. To register call the ADRC at 715-743-5166 or at 1-866-743-5144.

Hope Center Happenings

The Hope Center in Abbotsford is offering free English lessons on Sundays 3:30 p.m. - 5:30 p.m. and on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays starting at 6 p.m. The Hope Center is also offering free Spanish lessons on Thursdays from 4:30 - 6 p.m. To participate in the classes, students must register at www.hopecenter.space. The Hope Center is also hosting a worship service at 10 a.m. on Sundays.

The Survey Says...

The Colby Community library is looking for community input on fall/winter classes to be offered at the CCL.

The survey is for youth and adult events and is open for recommendations until August 31. Surveys are available at the library or on the website.

The fall/winter hours of operation are Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. and Tuesday and Thursday from noon - 7 p.m.

APL Story time

The Abbotsford Library will be holding story time on Friday, September 1 at 10:30 a.m. Story times are held on the first and third Fridays of the month during the school year. No registration is required.

Mass times

St. Bernard Catholic Church, 400 N. 2nd Ave, Abbotsford, has Mass at 9:30 a.m., and also a bilingual Mass at 11 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. on Sundays.

St. Louis Catholic Church, 133 N. Third St., Dorchester, has a Saturday Mass at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday at 8 a.m. Rev. Tim Oudenhoven celebrates the Masses at St. Bernard and St. Louis. For more information call 715223-4026.

St. Mary Help of Christians Parish, 205 S. 2nd St, Colby, has a Saturday Mass at 7 p.m. and Sunday Mass at 8 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. Daily Mass is celebrated on Tues. at 7 p.m. and Wednesday - Friday at 8:30 a.m. A School Mass is held generally on Thursday morning.
