ALENDAR BASKET-WEAVING CLASSES
Registration for the Friends of the Colby Community Library’s TGIF Basket Weaving classes is now open. On Friday, Feb. 7, there will be an afternoon advanced class from 12-4 p.m. and an evening beginner class from 5-9 p.m. There is a charge for the classes. Shirley Mount of The Basket Patch in Gilman is the instructor. Check the library website or Facebook page to see the examples. Payment is due when registering.
K OF C FREE THROW CONTEST
The Colby Knights of Columbus Council is sponsoring a Free Throw contest open to all boys and girls 9-14 on Sunday, Jan. 19, at 1 p.m. in the St. Mary’s School Gym. Medals will be awarded to all winners in each category. Winners will advance to the regional level contest in February.
REDNECK TENORS TO PERFORM
The Three Redneck Tenors, top finalists on “America’s Got Talent,” and longtime entertainers in Branson, Mo., will be bringing their classically trained voices and Duck Dynasty humor to the LuCille Tack Center in Spencer on Sunday, Jan. 26, at 2 p.m. The trio will perform songs ranging from gospel to country, pop to classical.
