ALENDAR HARVEST DINNER ON NOV. 10

St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Curtiss will host its annual harvest dinner on Sunday, Nov. 10, starting at 11 a.m. Guests are invited to join the congregation for worship at 8:30 a.m., and to enjoy coffee and a movie between worship and the meal. Carry-outs are also available. The church is located on CTH E west of Abbotsford and north of Milan.

CRAFTERS HONORING VETERANS

The Colby VFW, located at the corner of STH 13 and CTH N, is hosting its annual “Crafters Honoring Veterans” craft show on Saturday, Nov. 2, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Homemade soup will be sold, with all of the proceeds going to the Fisher House for veterans and their families.

ABBY LIONS BRUNCH NOV. 3

The Abbotsford Lions will host a brunch on Sunday, Nov. 3, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church in Abbotsford. The brunch will include pancakes, scrambled eggs, French toast, ham, sausage, fruit salad, bars and cheese. An omelet and crepes bar will also be available, along with coffee, milk and juice. Advance tickets can be purchased at Hawkeye Dairy, Kramer-Schiferl Realty or from Lions members. Proceeds from the brunch will be used for donations to the local food pantries, vision care projects, and community and school projects. WORLD MUSIC CONCERT NOV. 16

Multi-instrumentalist Todd Green will make a stop at Spencer’s LuCille Tack Center on Saturday, Nov. 16 at 7:30 p.m. Inspired by the colors and textures heard in the Middle East, Central Asia, Far East and South America, Green uses his custom-built electronic system to layer instruments as he performs, which in effect turns him into a high-tech, one-man-band of world music. ST. MARY’S HOLIDAY FAIR

St. Mary’s Catholic Church will host its annual Holiday Fair with Soup and Salad Luncheon on Sunday, Nov. 10, at St. Mary’s School, 209 S. Second St., Colby. The fair will run from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., featuring numerous arts and craft vendors; homemade bakery treats; “Books Are Fun” kids’ books; wreaths; a cookie walk and themed gift baskets to win by raffle or silent auction.

Homemade scones and coffee and milk will be served starting at 9 a.m. The luncheon will run from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m, featuring homemade soups including chili, cream of broccoli, and chicken dumpling; salad bar, assorted homemade pies, and beverages.

CHAMBER MEETING NOV. 6

The Abby-Colby Crossings Chamber of Commerce will hold its next monthly meeting at noon on Wednesday, Nov. 6, at Abbotsford City Hall. Lunch will be served.

TRINITY FOOD PANTRY HOURS

The hours for the food pantry at Trinity Lutheran Church in Unity are Wednesdays, from 5:30 to 7 p.m.

CELEBRATE RECOVERY

Celebrate Recovery is a spiritual 12-step program designed to help people grow in spirit and heal from whatever hurts, hangups or habits have a strong hold on your life.
