Why are Edgar schools asking us for more money?

As we wade through the deep doo-doo of another political season, I, like most of you, just want it to be over. Sadly, there is no candidate running for any office or position that I ca...

Tiffany is still an election denier

It was five years, nine months ago, but the images stand clear in my mind. People charging up steps, others breaking windows and beating policemen with flagpoles. Congress people running for safety. A gallows standing outside the U.S. capitol building ready for the hanging of vice president Mike Pence. The president had encouraged an insurrection based on his belief that he, not Joe Biden, had ...

Take advantage of new electoral maps

Seven of Wisconsin’s eight House of Representative members gave the February, May and final June House versio...

County should negotiate contract

The proposed Hub City Wind Project deserves the public attention it’s been getting because this project would change the landscape we love. The Marathon County Chapter of Wisconsin Farmers Union recognizes the gravity of our decisions around energy; the chapter hosted a well-attended educational session about renewable energy options in April 2026. The Marathon County Board of Supervisors fac...
