ADRC plans showing of Wine, Women, and Dementia at wellness fair

The Aging and Disability Resource Center (ADRC) of Taylor County committee gathered on Wednesday, September 10, where they heard that Wine, Women, and Dementia, a documentary celebrating caregivers and their contribution to the dementia journey, will be hosted by the ADRC in connection with Taylor County Human Services and the Broadway Theatre on Monday, November 3 at 1 p.m., and Thursday, November 6 at 5:30 p.m. at the theater. The ADRC is working on offering transportation to the free event.

• Heard that the ADRC is now fully-staffed.
• Learned that all but three of the 198 senior vouchers for the farmer’s market have been distributed.

In addition, Dementia Care Specialist Dana Detwiler has been conducting dementia 101 seminars at the nutrition sites to help the public stay informed. Dan Gellert with Emergency Management has been hosting emergency preparedness bingo at the nutrition sites as well.
• Heard that the Senior Health Fair will be held on October 17.
