Hannah Lalk Hannah Lalk is the new Rib Lake High School physical educat ion/health teacher She graduated from UWLa Crosse in 2023 with a Bachelor’s in Exercise and Sport Science and a minor in Nutrition. Currently, she is pursuing her Master’s in Education at Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota. “Over the past two years, I've had the wonderful opportunity to work as a substitute teacher for the Eau Claire Area School District. Now, I'm really excited to start my first year teaching Physical Education and Health at Rib Lake High School,” she said. Her family is from Germantown. “My beloved partner, Donald Dedrickson, and I are happy to share our home with three wonderful labrador retrievers. Diesel, our wise and playful black lab, is 11 years old. We also have a fouryear-old chocolate labrador named Gunner, eager to hit the water for the upcoming duck season. We're excited to welcome Mabel, our adorable and sassy 12-weekold white labrador, full of energy and beginning her teething journey,” she said.

“When I'm not teaching, I like to think of myself as a bit of an old soul. I find joy in harvesting and canning from our garden, which always feels very rewarding. I'm also passionate about crafting; sewing and crocheting are some of my favorite ways to create. I love spending time outdoors, whether it's hiking, fishing, hunting, or simply exploring nature with our dogs. Additionally, I have a fairly broad taste in music and enjoy attending concerts whenever I can. Finally, hot yoga and functional exercise are the most meaningful hobbies that keep me grounded and energized as I start my day,” she said.

Amy Miicke Amy Miicke is the new kindergarten teacher at Rib Lake Elementary School. She is a graduate of Athens High School and completed her education degree at UW-Stevens Point. Miicke is a veterans teacher and this year mark’s her 20th year in education. Prior to coming to Rib Lake she taught in grades one through five. She lives in Medford with her spouse, Jeremy, and their children Claira, 13; James, 12; and Cecelia, 11. When not teaching she enjoys watching her children play sports. “You can usually find me at the ball diamond, the pool, or the gym cheering my kids on,” she said.
