UW-Stevens Point to launch Institute for Behavioral Health and Wellness Training
With demand for mental health professionals at an all-time high, the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point is launching a new training institute to help meet the needs of central Wisconsin.
The Institute for Behavioral Health and Wellness Training at UW-Stevens Point will ensure that individuals and organizations, locally and globally, have access to top-tier education and training in behavioral health and wellness. Whether it’s addressing workforce shortages, expanding access to mental health services or building healthier communities, the institute can help.
Housed in UWSP Continuing Education and Outreach, the institute offers flexible, high-quality programs including certifications, continuing education, and professional development opportunities. These programs build on UW-Stevens Point’s long-standing reputation for excellence in health and human services training.
Signature offerings, such as the Mental Health and Substance Use Recovery Conference, International Health and Wellness Coaching Conference, Ethics and Boundaries Trainings, Crisis Intervention Conference and our many Health and Wellness Coaching programs have attracted participants from across the country and around the world, reinforcing UWStevens Point’s reputation as a trusted leader in behavioral health and wellness education.
