Medford schools announces school supply drive August 1 to 15

Area community members are invited to participate in a school supply drive August 1 to August 15.

Medford Schools Director of Student Services, Joseph Greget explained they are collecting supplies to help students in need for the coming 2025-2026 school year. Donations may be dropped off at the Medford Elementary School.

“Thank you to all individuals, families, and local businesses that donate and/or help collect donations this summer,” Greget said.

School supplies needed by grade level PreK Regular-sized backpack, 1 Elmer’s glue bottle (4 fl oz), 6 Elmer’s giant glue sticks (0.77 oz), 2 boxes of Crayola washable markers (10-12 count), 1 box of 24-count Crayola crayons (basic colors), a complete change of clothes (in a bag labeled with the student’s name), 2 boxes of Kleenex, towel/small blanket for rest time, optional water bottle, gym shoes (Velcro or slip on. Please no tie shoes.).

One of our goals in Pre-K is to foster independence. When picking out everyday school shoes, please consider Velcro or slip on shoes that your child is able to put on and take off independently. This is an important self-help skill that we work diligently on during the school year and your help is appreciated.

Kindergarten Large school bag/backpack, gym shoes with nonmarking soles to be kept at school for gym class, 2 boxes of 24-count crayons, 1 set of washable markers, Fiskars scissors (blunt end), 1 large pink pearl eraser, 9 large (0.74 oz.) glue sticks, 1 box of Kleenex, 1 container of cleaning wipes, 1 box of Ziploc sandwich/quart size bags (GIRLS), 1 box of Ziploc gallon size bags (SES BOYS), a complete change of clothes (in a bag labeled with name), optional water bottle, optional headphones. Grade 8 2 1-inch binders (must be individual binders), 5 pocket folders, 5 college-ruled spiral notebooks (single subject), pencils enough for the year purchase as needed, 1 large eraser, 2 pens (2 different colors), 1 yellow highlighter, 2 boxes of Kleenex, 1 container of Lysol wipes, 2 sets of wired earbuds (to stay at school).
