Post 147 is scheduled to host Marshfield Post 54 in a 5:30 p.m. doubleheader Monday. Medford split a June 12 doubleheader in Wisconsin Rapids, falling 3-0 in game one and taking game two 5-3.

Rib Lake beat Tomahawk in its opener and routed the Merrill Junior Legion in a doubleheader sweep. A June 16 doubleheader with Medford’s 17U Junior Legion was rained out.

Medford Post 147’s 17U Junior Legion team earned two wins over Minocqua Post 89 in the past week.

At home on June 18, Ace Arndt threw six strong innings, striking out six and Post 147 put together tworun rallies in the first, third and fourth innings to secure a 6-2 win.

Six players had a hit apiece. Carson Ingersoll drove in a run with an infield hit. Ryder Kraschnewski hit an RBI double in the fourth. Parker Lissner and Broden Schilling hit doubles. Ethan Fuchs and Restyn Kraschnewski added singles.

In Minocqua Monday, Medford broke a 2-2 with two runs in the top of the sixth thanks to an error on a ball hit by Nick Mann. Post 147 and tacked on three more in the seventh to get a 7-3 win, two of them on an error on a ball hit by Brayden Pronschinske.

Ryder Kraschnewski had an RBI single in the first and got the win, going 5.1 innings and striking out five.
