Free e-recycling collection to be held in Loyal

On July 12, from 8 a.m.-1 p.m., there will be a free e-recycling collection at the Clark County Highway Dept., 511 W. South St., Loyal. The event will be open to all area residents and will allow you to dispose of your electronics safely and responsibly, while helping support the State of Wisconsin e-Cycle program. Items which can be disposed of include household electronics, kitchen appliances, hygiene electronics, and outdoor electronics.

Household electronics include box fans and air circulator fans, calculators, cameras, cable/satellite receivers, CD players and boom boxes, cellphones, Christmas lights, CRT TVs and monitors, desktop computers, electric staplers, exercise equipment, GPS/navigation devices, hot glue guns, humidifiers, irons, keyboards, mice, label makers, laptops, LCD/LED TVs and monitors, motion detectors, power cords, printers, fax machines, radios and clock/radio combos, record players, sewing machines, space heaters, tablets and e-readers, typewriters, vacuum cleaners, VHS tapes, DVDs, cassette tapes, etc., VCR/DVD/DVR players, and video game consoles.

Kitchen appliances include air fryers and crockpots, blenders and mixers, electric can openers, coffee makers and electric tea kettles, electric grills and griddles, food dehydrators and food processors, pizza makers, toasters and toaster ovens, and waffle makers.

Hygieneelectronicscanincludeelectrictoothbrushes, curling irons, flat irons, hair dryers, and massage devices.

Outdoor electronics include car batteries, electric power tools, electric weed trimmers, electric lawn mowers, leaf blowers, electric tillers, and Shop-Vacs and garage vacuum cleaners.

Please do not bring in large appliances, freon-containing material, loose batteries, lamps, or bulbs at this time.
