Village board approves multi-year agreement with Waste Management

At the April 12 meeting of the Rib Lake Village Board, the Trustees approved signing a five and a half year contract with Waste Management of Wisconsin, Inc (WM). The cost monthly of this service is $12.75 per home, per month. WM provides trash pickup and services to Village Hall, Village Shop, the Ice Age Pavilion, and the park at no charge. There are also fuel surcharges based on diesel fuel price per gallon. If the diesel prices are below $4 per gallon, there will be no surcharge, and it increases according to a chart. The fuel prices currently have been between $4.50 and $4.75, leading the fuel surcharge to be 5%.

WM will not be providing curbside weekly bulk collection services in this contract, and will instead be providing containers for the Village to hold cleanup events for Village residents.
