Motorcycles collide

Crash reports

Leonard F. Mumm, 66, of Palo, IA, and Paul Robert Hicks, 60, of Cable, were both traveling northbound on Hwy 13, on August 16, at 11:26 a.m., in the town of Westboro. Mumm slowed down to look at a deceased bear on the side of the road, Hicks also slowed down to look when he hit Mumm’s rear left corner of the motorcycle. Both motorcycles sustained disabling damage and had to be towed. Both drivers of the motorcycles were transported to Aspirus Medford Hospital and Clinics by EMS Ground for suspected minor injuries.

An unknown driver was traveling northbound on a section of CTH MM that runs east and west when it ran off the road entering the east ditch, on August 8, at 6:09 p.m., in the town of Jump River. Officer Jeremy Dassow made phone contact with the vehicle owner, Brookelle Stephanie Davis, of Chetek, who stated she was not the driver but would not give any other details regarding the crash. Davis received two citations for operating a motor vehicle without insurance and fail/notify/report Incapable operator.

Michael Jon Rudolph, 57, of Medford, was traveling eastbound, in a vehicle owned by James Peterson Sons Inc, on Hwy 64, just east of CTH F, on August 4, at 9:16 a.m., in the town of Roosevelt. Abby Michelle Meyer, 39, of Rib Lake, was following Rudolph’s truck, with a truck owned by Peterson & Sons Company. Rudolph slowed down due to traffic and Meyer hit the rear end of Rudolph’s vehicle. Meyer’s vehicle came to rest in the north side of the ditch facing northeast.

Andrea Grace Neitzke, 21, of Medford, was backing out of the parking lot of North 64 Bar and Grill, on August 3, at approximately 9 p.m. Neitzke’s vehicle hit a legally parked vehicle owned by Wayne Robert Hora, of Prentice. Neitzke made contact with Hora and advised him of the incident. Neitzke advised she had been looking at a vehicle which was parked on the other side of her vehicle and forgot about Hora’s vehicle. The vehicles had scraped together causing minor damages to both vehicles. The drivers exchanged information and left the scene. The accident was reported after both parties had left the scene.

Doreen Joan Berger, 70, of Medford, was southbound on Hwy 13 attempting to turn left, onto Apple Ave. on August 4, at 3:58 p.m. Berger turned in front of a vehicle driven by Matt Allen Weir, 47, of Medford, who was northbound on Hwy 13. Berger’s vehicle was struck in the rear passenger quarter panel. Weir’s vehicle sustained damage to the front passenger side of the vehicle. Berger advised she thought she had time to make the turn. Berger was issued a citation for failure to yield right of way. Weir’s vehicle was towed due to disabling damage.

The following car versus deer accidents were reported: Raymond Clarence Kremsreiter, 76, of Athens, on August 18, at 9:44 a.m., on Hwy 13, in the town of Westboro; Jennifer Lynn Moore, 37, of Port Edwards on August 12, at 8 p.m., on Hwy 97, in the town of Goodrich.
