Medford gearing up for Parkest 2022 on Aug, 18
Parkfest will be held on August 18 in the Medford City Park. The event will include featured musical artists, food and beverages, vendors, and activites brought to you by Medford Cooperative.
A limited number of VIP access tickets are available. VIP tickets cost $90 and include a meet and greet with country music artist Jerrod Niemann, two free drinks, and a free camp chair. General admission is free.
The Driveway Thriftdwellers will be opening from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. and Jerrod Niemann will be playing at 7 pm. Jerrod Niemann is a country singer/ songwriter who is notable for his songs “Lover Lover” and “Drink To That All Night”. Niemann’s songs have been recorded by several music artists including Blake Shelton, Lee Brice, Garth Brooks, Colbie Caillat and more. Niemann and Garth Brooks worked side by side to create Brooks’ three singles “Good Ride Cowboy,” “Midnight Sun,” and “That Girl is a Cowboy.” Niemann is also good friends with Lee Brice and the two have a history of touring together.
The Driveway Thriftdwellers are an Alternative Country band made up of a five man ensemble and was created by two Meford natives, John and Ryan Knudson. The band is based in Milwaukee and Madison and is highly acclaimed. In 2017, the band won the Wisconsin Area Music Industry award for Country Artist of the Year.
Medford Cooperative is presenting Heroes Among Us and will recognize local citizens who go above and beyond to do good things for the community and others.
Other events inlude free swimming from 1 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., various kids activities, Weathershield 5K Glow Run at 5 p.m., and a giveaway of over 350 filled backpacks.
This year Parkfest expanded it’s Food Alley and vendor options. Several local favorites such as Cravings, Marylin’s Fire Station and Uncommon Ground will be serving a variety of food and beverages. Beer and hard seltzer will be available for purchase.
Vendors will include Pouring Cats and Dogs, Amelita Photography LLC, Rocky Road Boutique and more.
