The menu for the month of August has been announced for the Senior Dining Centers of the Taylor County Commission on Aging. Persons 60 years and older and spouse, regardless of age, are welcome to participate in the noon meals.

In Jump River, meals are served at noon on Tuesday and Thursdays at the Jump River Community Center. In Medford, meals are served at noon on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays at the Medford Senior Dining Center. In Gilman, meals are served at noon Monday through Thursday at the Gilman Senior Center. Meals are served in Goodrich at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesdays at Royal Gaits Arena & Stables. In Stetsonville, meals are served at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday and Thursday at the Centennial Community Center. Meals are served in Rib Lake at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday at the Rib Lake Senior Center. In Westboro, meals are served at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday and Thursday at the VFW Hall. Reservations must be made one day in advance by 2 p.m. Any questions, please call Commission on Aging at 715-748-1491.

Week of August 1— Monday, Meat lasagna, wax beans, romaine & spinach salad, dressing, garlic breadstick, Jell-O with fruit; Tuesday, Chicken salad on a croissant with lettuce & tomato, veggie chicken noodle soup, crackers, sliced peaches, cookie; Wednesday, garlic lime chicken, diced seasoned potatoes, three bean salad, multi-grain bread, pineapple cake; Thursday, Swedish meatballs, mashed potatoes, broccoli & caulifl ower, whole wheat bread, applesauce; Friday, baked tuna noodle casserole with peas; coleslaw, rye bread, berries.

Week of August 8— Monday, chef salad with mixed greens, tomatoes, turkey, egg, cheese, fresh roll, minestrone soup, cookie; Tuesday, Swiss steak, parsley buttered potatoes, carrots, whole wheat bread, pineapple upside down cake; Wednesday, lemon pepper fish, baked potato, sour cream, peas, rye bread, creamy fruit salad; Thursday, chicken alfredo over linguini, broccoli, coleslaw, garlic breadstick, grapes; Friday, Shepherd’s Pie, mashed potatoes, squash, rye bread, chocolate cake.

Week of August 15— Spaghetti & meat sauce, Italian blend vegetables, garlic breadstick, diced pears, rhubarb cake; Tuesday, Spanish rice chicken casserole, peas, sourdough bread, pineapple, blueberry coffee cake; Wednesday, kielbasa and kraut, twice baked mashed potatoes, Wisconsin blend vegetable, wheat dinner roll, cream puff dessert; Thursday, hamburger stroganoff, mashed potatoes, broccoli salad, whole wheat bread, strawberries; Friday, hearty bean soup, turkey sandwich on marble rye with lettuce and tomato, grape juice, rice krispie treat.

Week of August 22— Monday, hamburger on a bun, grilled onions, potato salad, baked beans, fig newtons; Tuesday, Cabbage roll with tomato sauce; country trio vegetable blend; rye bread, cinnamon applesauce; spice cake; Wednesday, Crab pasta salad over romaine, tomato wedges, dinner roll, peaches, lemon bar; Thursday, chicken breast, mushroom and bacon sauce, wild rice blend, cold pickled beets, biscuit, banana; Friday, beef chop suey, whole grain rice, oriental blend veggies, mandarin oranges, oatmeal raisin cookie.

Week of August 29— Monday, boneless BBQ pork rib, whole wheat hoagie, au gratin potatoes, whole kernel corn, mini muffin, grapes; Tuesday, paprika chicken, baby red potatoes, cauliflower, raisin bread, vanilla yogurt and berries; Wednesday, chili, crackers, cheddar cheese slice, lettuce salad, rye bread, mandarin oranges; cookie.

Week of August 1— Monday, turkey club wrap, lettuce and tomatoes, sweet potato fries, banana, tapioca pudding; Tuesday, spaghetti with meat sauce, mixed veggies, garlic bread, apples, and cookie; Wednesday, chicken casserole with vegetables, garlic bread, apricots, cupcake; Thursday, breaded fish with Mac and cheese, peas, pineapple, dessert bar.

Week of August 8— Monday, oven roasted chicken breast, green bean caserole, dinner roll, peaches, cupcake; Tuesday, stromboli, three-bean salad, melon, angel food cake; Wednesday, ham, with au gratin potatoes, peas, biscuit, grapes, vanilla pudding; Thursday, meatloaf, cucumbers, mashed potatoes, banana, rice krispie bars.

Week of August 15— Monday, Chicken bacon ranch casserole, salad, fruit cocktail, tapioca pudding; Tuesday, cheese burger on a bun, baked beans, sweet potato bake, apples, cookie; Wednesday, pork chop, carrots, baked potato, melon, cupcake; Thursday, pot pie casserole, corn, biscuit, strawberries, lemon squares.

Week of August 22— Monday, hot dog on a bun, beans; chips, strawberries, cupcake; Tuesday, tacos with meat, lettuce, tomatoes, pears, dessert bar; Wednesday, chicken and gravy over rice, beans, dinner roll, apricots, cookie; Thursday, ground hamburger with mushroom soup, beans, biscuit, grapes, rice krispie bars.

Week of August 29— Monday, chicken salad sandwich, lettuce, tomatoes, pineapple, vanilla pudding; Tuesday, BBQ Ribs, cucumbers, mashed potatoes, apricots, cake; Wednesday, grilled ham and cheese with tomato soup, three-bean salad, melon, ice cream.
