Chain confirms it will open Medford location

Tractor Supply has confirmed it will be opening a store in Medford in late summer to early fall of 2021.

The store will be located in a portion of the former K-Mart building in the Medford Plaza on Hwy 13. The store has been vacant since fall 2017 when Kmart closed their Medford location.

The confirmation that the new store will be opening was positive news for local economic leaders as they have sought to fill the vacancy in the Medford Plaza.

“Both the Chamber and the Economic Development Foundation welcome Tractor Supply to our community and look forward to working with them,” said Sue Emmerich of the Medford Area Chamber of Commerce and Medford Area Development Foundation. “Tractor Supply is passionate about serving its unique niche as a one-stop shop for recreational farmers, ranchers and those who enjoy living the rural lifestyle. Other essential items for the rural lifestyle include, pet medicines, agricultural supplies, and heating fuel along with hardware and maintenance supplies. The store will provide about 15 new jobs to the area, with at least half of those being full time positions,” said Darias Collins a company spokesperson.
