Accident reports

Ashley V. Zettler, 31, Medford, and JoAnn L. Slaga, 66, Medford, were involved in an accident on February 16 at 1:50 p.m. on Hwy 13 in the city of Medford. According to the accident report, the Zettler vehicle was southbound on Hwy 13. The Slaga vehicle was exiting a private driveway and turning south when it struck the Zettler vehicle, causing minor damage to the left side rear and left rear corner. The Slaga vehicle sustained damage to the front, left front corner and right front corner. Looked but did not see by Slaga was listed in the report as a factor in the accident.

Jeffry C. Miller, 55, Medford, was involved in an accident on February 18 at 5:26 p.m. at the intersection of Woodland Road and Buehler Lane in the town of Medford. According to the accident report, the Miller vehicle was northbound on Woodland Road and making a right turn onto Buehler Lane. Due to the way the snow was plowed on the side of the road, Miller believed that the road shoulder was wider than it actually was. After turning onto Buehler Lane, the snow under the passenger side of the vehicle gave way, causing damage to the front and right front corner. The vehicle had to be towed from the ditch.

Brittnae N. Maris, 29, Rib Lake, was involved in an accident on February 17 at 7:35 a.m. on Harper Drive in the town of Rib Lake. According to the accident report, the Maris vehicle was northbound on Harper Drive negotiating a curve when the vehicle entered the east ditch and struck a tree. Maris stated she got too far over on the narrow road and her vehicle ended up in the ditch. The vehicle sustained damage to the front, right front corner, right side front, left front corner and left side front.

The following deer-related accidents were reported: John S. Hoffland, 20, Rib Lake, on February 14 at 10:30 p.m. on Hwy 13 in the town of Chelsea.

Kala J. Thompson, 48, Athens, on February 18 at 8:14 p.m. on CTH O in the town of Little Black.
