Rep. Edming sworn in for 4th term in assembly

Rep. James Edming (R-Glen Flora) took the oath of office to begin his fourth term representing the people of the 87th Assembly District when members of the 105th State Assembly were sworn into office today. Rep. Edming was re-elected this past November.

“It remains one of the greatest honors of my life being chosen by my fellow citizens to be their voice in the State Assembly,” said Rep. Edming. “As folks around the district often hear me say, this job is the best I have ever had. I look forward to continuing to serve the hardworking people of the 87th District in the upcoming legislative session.”

This session Rep. Edming will continue to serve as the Chairman of the Assembly Committee on Labor and Integrated Employment. He will also serve as the Vice-Chairman of the Assembly Committee on Consumer Protection.

“I am grateful to Speaker Vos for once again trusting me to serve as the chairman of the Labor and Integrated Employment Committee,” said Rep. Edming. “In the upcoming session workforce development and reforming our state’s unemployment insurance system, which has failed far too many Wisconsinites over the past several months, are likely to be topics of discussion. As a longtime small business owner, I look forward to bringing my perspective and experience to these discussions.”

In addition, Rep. Edming will serve as a member of the Committees on Family Law, Rural Development, Sporting Heritage, Small Business Development, Veterans and Military Affairs, Workforce Development, and Forestry, Parks, and Outdoor Recreation.
