Two-vehicle accidents

 

Johnny Cremona, 53, Gorrie, Ontario, Canada, and a vehicle owned by Scott Fleischman, 50, Westboro, were involved in an accident on June 3 at 9:47 a.m. in the parking lot at Nestlé, 940 S. Whelen Ave. in the city of Medford. According to the accident report, a semi-tractor trailer unit operated by Cremona was maneuvering in the parking lot in order to park when the left rear corner of the trailer struck and damaged the front bumper of the legally-parked and unoccupied Fleischman vehicle. The Cremona vehicle sustained scuff marks to the trailer unit.

Jennifer L. Leonhardt, 45, Medford, and Robert L. Christensen, 69, Wausau, were involved in an accident on June 8 at 11:43 a.m. at 120 W. Broadway Ave. in the city of Medford. According to the accident report, both vehicles were parked in the parking lot at the post offi ce. The Leonhardt vehicle was backing out of a parking space and struck the Christensen vehicle, damaging the rear bumper. There was no damage to the Leonhardt vehicle.

Edward O. Brecke IV, 25, Stetsonville, was involved in an accident on May 27 at 3:49 p.m. on Perkinstown Avenue in the town of Hammel. According to the accident report, a motorcycle operated by Brecke was westbound on Perkinstown Avenue traveling at speeds of upward of 80 mph in an attempt to avoid law enforcement. As Brecke was negotiating a curve in the road, the motorcycle left the roadway on the road edge. Brecke overcorrected his steering, causing the motorcycle to spin 180 degree. Brecke lost his balance and the motorcycle tipped onto its side. Brecke was not injured in the accident and there was no damage to the motorcycle. Exceeding the speed limit, failure to control, running off the roadway and operating a motor vehicle in an aggressive or reckless manner by Brecke were listed in the report as factors in the accident. He was issued citations for non-registration of other vehicle, reckless drivingendangering safety, unreasonable and imprudent speed and operating a motorcycle without a valid license.

Jillian M. Mebust, 19, Withee, was involved in an accident on May 28 at 4:17 a.m. at the intersection of Sackett Drive and CTH M in the town of Hammel. According to the accident report, the Mebust vehicle was southbound on Sackett Drive when the driver failed to stop for the stop sign at the intersection with CTH M. The vehicle went through the intersection and into the ditch on the south side of CTH M. The vehicle sustained disabling damage to the front, right front corner, right side front, left front corner and left side front. Failure to control and disregarding a stop sign by Mebust were listed in the report as factors in the accident. She was issued citations for operating a motor vehicle without insurance and failure of the operator to notify the police of an accident.

A vehicle owned by Donald G. Cannon, Medford, and an unknown vehicle were involved in a hit-and-run accident at 716 South St. in the city of Medford. According to the accident report, the Cannon vehicle was legallyparked along South Street. Sometime between May 27 and June 8, the Cannon vehicle was struck by an unknown vehicle, causing major damage to the driver’s door. The driver of the unknown vehicle did not make contact with Cannon nor did the driver report the accident to law enforcement.

The following deer-related accidents were reported: Linda M. Olejnichak, 59, Gilman, on June 3 at 6:50 a.m. on Hwy 64 in the town of Medford.

Jo L. Dvorak, 42, Edgar, on June 5 at 3:56 p.m. on CTH O in the town of Hammel.

Kayla R. Boardman, 30, Medford, on June 6 at 1:05 p.m. on Hwy 13 in the town of Chelsea.

Callie A. Thomsen-Stevens, 23, Weston, on June 8 at 9:46 a.m. on CTH Q in the town of Medford.

Jeffrey G. Kraschnewski, 31, Medford, on June 8 at 10:41 a.m. on Hwy 13 in the city of Medford.
