Raymond W. Cypher, 71, Dorchester, and Stanley H. Carbaugh, 79, Medford, were involved in an accident on March 4 at 11:45 a.m. in the parking lot at 160 Medford Plaza in the city of Medford. According to the accident report, the Cypher vehicle was backing out of a parking space and the driver did not see the Carbaugh vehicle stopped in the aisle behind it. The Cypher vehicle sustained damage to the rear bumper. The Carbaugh vehicle sustained damage to the rear passenger door.

Jake J. Seifert, 16, Medford, and Eric R. Jensen, 29, Medford, were involved in an accident on March 5 at 7:53 a.m. on Hwy 64 in the city of Medford. According to the accident report, both vehicles were on Hwy 64 waiting to turn into the high school parking lot. The driver of the Seifert vehicle tried to slow down, but the vehicle slid into the back of the Jensen vehicle. Both vehicles sustained damage to their respective ends.

Brian K. Krug, 63, Medford, was involved in an accident on March 5 at 7:45 a.m. on CTH Q in the town of Medford. According to the accident report, the Krug vehicle was northbound on CTH Q when the driver lost control on the slush-covered pavement. The vehicle slid off the west side of the roadway and rolled onto its side, causing minor damage to the left side middle. Weather conditions, road surface conditions and failure to control by Krug were listed in the report as factors in the accident.

Philip S. Stalheim, 70, Medford, was involved in an accident on March 5 at 8:25 a.m. on CTH O in the town of Medford. According to the accident report, the Stalheim vehicle was eastbound on CTH O when the driver lost control on the slush-covered pavement. The vehicle slid off the north side of the roadway and struck a mailbox, causing minor damage to the front and right front corner of the vehicle. Weather conditions, road surface conditions and failure to control by Stalheim were listed in the report as factors in the accident.

Olivia D. Burcaw, 17, Brantwood, was involved in an accident on March 6 at 9:36 p.m. on Hwy 102 in the town of Rib Lake. According to the accident report, the Burcaw vehicle was northbound on Hwy 102 when it struck debris in the roadway from a prior accident, causing disabling damage to the front and undercarriage. Jesse A. Sommer, 35, Ogema, and Bertha Arevalo, 64, Rib Lake, were involved in an accident on March 6 at 9:36 p.m. on Hwy 102 in the town of Rib Lake. According to the accident report, the Sommer vehicle was southbound and the Arevalo vehicle was northbound on Hwy 102. The Sommer vehicle crossed the centerline and struck the front driver’s side panel of the Arevalo vehicle. The driver of the Sommer vehicle over-corrected and the vehicle flipped onto its side and spun so it was facing east. The Arevalo vehicle came to a stop on the north side of the road, also facing east. Both drivers sustained injuries and were transported to Aspirus Medford Hospital for medical treatment. There was damage to the entire Sommer vehicle. The Arevalo vehicle sustained damage to the left side front and left front corner. Both vehicles were towed from the scene. Failure to keep in designated lane and other contributing factors by Sommer were listed in the report as factors in the accident. He was issued citations for operating while under the influence and causing injury while operating under the influence.

Royce L. Vlach, 55, Curtiss, was involved in an accident on March 8 at 5:49 p.m. on CTH A in the town of Little Black. According to the accident report, the Vlach vehicle was westbound on CTH A when a dog ran onto the roadway. The driver braked, but was unable to avoid hitting the dog. The vehicle sustained minor damage to the front and right front corner.

Marion D. Meyer, 92, Medford, and Gerald A. Kallenbach, 90, Medford, were involved in a hit-and-run accident on March 7 at 10:51 a.m. at the intersection of Hwy 13 and 64 in the city of Medford. According to the accident report, the Meyer vehicle was southbound and the Kallenbach was northbound on Hwy 13 intending to make a left turn onto Hwy 64. The traffic light was green for north/south traffic. The left turn lanes had a yellow flashing arrow, indicating to yield the right-of-way to through traffic. The Kallenbach vehicle entered the intersection and proceeded to turn left, striking the Meyer vehicle as it was proceeding through the intersection. Kallenbach left the scene following the accident without exchanging information, but was identified due to witnesses providing the license plate number of Kallenbach’s vehicle. The Kallenbach vehicle sustained minor damage to the front and left front corner. The Meyer vehicle sustained damage to the left front corner, left side front and left side middle. It was towed from the scene. Failure to yield the right-of-way and looked but did not see by Kallenbach were listed in the report as factors in the accident.

Robin L. Seal, 52, Abbotsford, and an unknown vehicle were involved in a hit-and-run accident on March 8 at 7:33 p.m. on CTH A in the town of Deer Creek. According to the accident report, the Seal vehicle was eastbound on CTH A just west of Oriole Drive when an oncoming vehicle crossed the centerline and struck the driver’s side mirror of the Seal vehicle. The unknown vehicle continue westbound and did not stop. The Seal vehicle sustained minor damage to the left side front.

The following deer-related accidents were reported: Kisandra L. Nitek, 34, Glen Flora, on February 25 at 8:28 p.m. on Hwy 64 in the town of Medford.

Trista E. Sweda, 18, Prentice, on March 6 at 10:24 p.m. on Hwy 64 in the town of Roosevelt.

Joey E. Ratcliff, 54, Edgar, on March 8 at 7:41 p.m. on CTH C in the town of Deer Creek.
