Jesus Aguilera Herrada, 47, Medford, and Lawrence M. Olson, 55, Dorchester, were involved in an accident on January 22 at 11:30 a.m. on Oriole Drive in the town of Deer Creek. According to the accident report, the Olson vehicle was southbound on Oriole Drive. The Aguilera Herrada vehicle was eastbound from a private driveway and crossed the roadway, striking the Olson vehicle. The impact caused the Olson vehicle to enter the east ditch. The Aguilera Herrada vehicle continued east into a private driveway at N602 Oriole Drive. Aguilera Herrada stated that he did not see the Olson vehicle. Olson said the Aguilera Herrada vehicle was traveling around 20 mph and did not stop before crossing the roadway. Olson sustained suspected minor injuries but was not transported for medical treatment. The Aguilera Herrada vehicle sustained minor damage to the front. The Olson vehicle sustained disabling damage to the front. Failure to yield the right-of-way by Aguilera Herrada was listed in the report as a factor in the accident. He was issued a citation for failing to yield while emerging from a non-highway access.
Sahil N. Barot, 31, Stanley, and Judy K. Nelson, 79, Westboro, were involved in an accident on January 23 at 6:03 p.m. on Hwy 13 in the town of Chelsea. According to the accident report, the Barot vehicle was southbound and the Nelson vehicle was northbound on Hwy 13. The Barot vehicle had just negoitated a slight curve in the roadway when the vehicle crossed into the northbound lane of traffic due to icy road conditions and struck the Nelson vehicle. The Barot vehicle entered the west ditch. The Nelson vehicle pulled into and stopped in a nearby driveway. The Barot vehicle sustained minor damage to the left rear side and left rear corner. The Nelson vehicle sustained minor damage to the left side front and left front corner.
Hannah M. Schmidtfranz, 23, Westboro, was involved in an accident on January 23 at 5:33 p.m. on Hwy 13 in the town of Medford. According to the accident report, the Schmidtfranz vehicle was northbound on Hwy 13 when the driver lost control on the icy roadway and the vehicle slid into the ditch, causing minor damage its left side middle.
Sarah L. Zacharias, 29, Thorp, was involved in an accident on January 26 at 12:30 a.m. on CTH DD in the town of Holway. According to the accident report, the Zacharias vehicle was southbound on CTH DD when it crossed the northbound lane of traffic and entered the east ditch, striking an embankment of snow and ice. The vehicle sustained damage to the front and rear and was towed from the scene. Failure to control by Zachrias was listed in the report as a factor in the accident. She was issued a citation for failure of operator to notify police of an accident.
Isaac A. Daniels, 27, Medford, was involved in an accident on January 26 at 2 a.m. on Allman Street in the city of Medford. According to the accident report, the Daniels vehicle was westbound on Allman Street when the driver fell asleep. The vehicle drifted off the right side of the roadway and struck a utility pole. The vehicle spun 90 degrees and came to a stop in the roadway, blocking the westbound lane of traffic. The vehicle sustained damage to the front and undercarriage and was towed from the scene. Running off the roadway and other contributing actions by Daniels were listed in the report as factors in the accident.
Corey L. Faude, 47, Medford, was involved in an accident on January 25 on Hwy 13 in the town of Little Black. According to the accident report, the Faude vehicle was northbound on Hwy 13 when it entered the east ditch and struck a Taylor County Airport sign. Faude did not report the accident. When contacted by law enforcement, Faude stated the accident occurred the night before between 11 p.m. and midnight. The vehicle sustained damage to the front and was towed from the scene. Road surface conditions and speeding too fast for conditions by Faude were listed in the report as factors in the accident. He was issued a citation for failure of operator to notify police of an accident.
