Gloria K. Thieme, age 54, of Marshfield, passed away late Sunday, Jan. 12, 2020, at her home. A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 18, 2020, at Spencer Church of Christ (B3942 Hwy. 13) in Spencer. Visitation will be held at the church from 9 a.m. until the time of service on Saturday. Burial will take place in the Dorchester Cemetery. Gloria was born Oct. 3, 1965, the daughter of Larry G. and Arlene D. (Graffunder) Neuenfeldt in Stanley. She graduated from Colby High School in 1984. Her most enjoyable role in life was being a caregiver of others. She had been a member of VFW Women’s Auxillary Post 2227 in Colby. She especially enjoyed time spent with her grandchildren, family and friends. Those that knew Gloria best will miss her home cooked meals, her hospitality, her big heart, her beautiful smile and her love towards others. Gloria is lovingly survived by her father: Larry G. Neuenfeldt; children: Naomi (Jesse Delph) Neuenfeldt, Anthony Thieme, and Clay (Sara) Thieme; grandchildren: Sasha, Kaleb, Shayla-Kay Neuenfeldt, Norah and Greta Thieme; as well as her siblings: Sue Bratton, Donna (Bruce) Thums, Galen (Kimberly) Neuenfeldt, Linda (Shannon) Pempek, and Todd (Lizbeth) Neuenfeldt. She is further survived by many nieces and nephews. She will truly be missed. Henry Carr

Henry A. Carr, age 87, of Colby, passed away peacefully Sunday morning, Jan. 12, 2020, at Abbotsford Healthcare System. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 16, 2020, at Saint Bernard’s Catholic Church in Abbotsford with Rev. Timothy Oudenhoven presiding. Henry will be laid to rest in Saint Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Colby. Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on Wednesday, Jan. 15, from 4-7 p.m. at Life Tributes Funeral Home in Spencer and again on Thursday at the church in Abbotsford from 10 a.m. until the time of service. He was born Sept. 27, 1932, to George and Laura (Graumann) Carr in Marshfield. Henry was a graduate of Colby High School, class of 1950. He served in the United States Army from 1954-1956 where he was stationed in Guam. After his honorable discharge, Henry moved back to Wisconsin where he was united in marriage to Barbara Hederer on Sept. 1, 1956. Henry worked at Packaging Corporation of America for 40 years, retiring in 1996. In his spare time, Henry enjoyed fishing and hunting with family and friends. He was very proud of his five grandchildren and loved spending time with them. He also enjoyed visiting and reminiscing with friends. He will be deeply missed by all. Henry is survived by his wife, Barbara; and their two children: James (Danielle) Carr and Julie (Scott) Decker. He is further survived by grandchildren: Tori of Green Bay, Mackenzie and Rylee of Colby, Megan Decker of DePere and Michael Decker of Colby. He was preceded in death by his parents. 3-4 year olds, teaching Sunday School for 13 years. Marian is survived by her son, Allen (Beverly) Fricke, and her daughter, Charlotte and (Dick) Strathmann, both of Colby; two grandchildren: Troy (Judy) Strathmanm and Leanne (Jeff) Meyer; five great-grandchildren: Avirae Meyer, Delaney Meyer, Edison Meyer, Gavin Strathmann and Madelynn Strathmann. She is further survived by other family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Orville. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is Marian L. Fricke, age 93, of Colby, passed away surrounded by her loving family on January 7, 2020 at Copperleaf Assisted Living in Marathon City under the tender care of hospice. A Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 18, 2020, at Zion Lutheran Church in Colby. The Rev. MarkNeumannwillpreside.Interment to follow at Colby Memorial Cemetery. Marian was born on February 14, 1926, in rural Colby, the daughter of William and Rose (Hake) DallmaninColby.SheattendedColbyandGreenwood schools. Marian graduated from Colby High School and Eau Claire Beauty Culture School. The former Marian Dallman was united in marriage to Orville Fricke on September 22, 1947, in Wausau. She worked in beauty shops at Wausau and Abbotsford. After she married, her and her family farmed in the Town of Hull for 52 years. He preceded her in death on December 18, 1980. Marian was a member of Zion Lutheran Church of Colby. She loved being in the Altar Guild, designing banners. Marian was an artist and used that talent drawing, sewing, and creating awesome meals. Marian cherished every moment with her family and she felt so blessed to have great-grandchildren. She enjoyed praying for other people in her prayer circle at Zion. Marian also helped her daughter with being established in her memory. Mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, you left us beautiful memories, your love is still our guide, although we cannot see you, you’re always at our side.
