Childcaring can guide you through the process of starting child care business

Childcaring is offering FREE Virtual Information Sessions on Child Care Start Up, facilitated by Childcaring Certifier/ Pre-licensing Technical Consultant Gayle Schiszik:

•Thursday, July 7 from 12:30-2:30pm (Register by Thursday, June 30)

•Additional fall start up sessions will be offered: Tuesday, September 20th and Wednesday, November 9th To achieve optimal experience, you must have a reliable internet connection and technology that supports video and audio. A link to log into the session will be sent via email prior to the session.

Childcaring helps build the supply of quality child care by providing support and resources to child care providers. FREE foundational trainings are now available. Contact Childcaring to learn more about these courses and how you can sign up. Childcaring also offers prelicensing technical assistance to individuals pursuing a child care license. Once a child care provider is regulated, Childcaring provides FREE referrals to their program. Start-up grants are available.

The grants are intended to assist individuals with start-up costs associated with opening and providing regulated care. Eligible providers have used startup grant funding to purchase equipment, materials and classes required to obtain regulation. Some examples include: safety gates, developmentally appropriate materials for a variety of age groups, smoke detectors, etc.
