Churches resume services with precautions

With the lockdown lifted and business starting to reopen, churches are resuming services. Below are the modifi ed schedules and COVID-19 precaution guidelines for some area churches.

Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church

Friends and members can access Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church in Holway through the church’s Facebook page OSLHolway. Word on Wednesday (WoW) is at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesdays. Worship with communion is at 10 a.m. on Sundays.

Live worship on Sunday and WoW are recorded. A link is provided on Facebook to take you to the live service. Recorded services may be viewed later in the week. The church plans to open for in-person worship beginning July 12 at 8:15 a.m. Worship will be outdoors, weather permitting. The church will continue to worship online on Sundays at 10 a.m. and Wednesdays at 6:30 p.m.

Trinity Lutheran Churches

Trinity Lutheran Church in Chelsea will hold services on Saturdays at 6:30 p.m.

Trinity Lutheran Church in Medford will hold services on Sundays at 9 a.m.

Visit the church website at www. trinity-medford.org for their worship opportunities. Copies of audio file CDs are available to check out at the church.

First Baptist Church

The public can join First Baptist Church in Medford services in person or via youtube livestream on Sunday mornings at 8:30 a.m. or 10:45 a.m. Visit fbcmedford.com for more information regarding regathering precautions being taken by the church.

St. Paul’s Lutheran Church

St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Medford will hold services on Sundays at 9 a.m.

New Hope Presbyterian Church

New Hope Presbyterian Church in Hannibal will hold services on Sundays at 8:45 a.m.

St. John’s Lutheran Church, Rib Lake Zion Lutheran Church, Spirit St. John Lutheran Church in Rib Lake will hold services on Thursdays at 6:30 p.m. (summer) and on Sundays at 8:30 a.m.

Zion Lutheran Church in Spirit will hold services on Sundays at 10:30 a.m.

The churches have blocked off every other pew and have take additional precautions.

St. John’s Lutheran Church, Gilman

St John’s Lutheran Church in rural Gilman will hold services on the first Sunday of the month at 6 p.m. with communion. On the other Sundays, the services are at 10:30 a.m.

The following guidelines will be followed: six-foot social distancing, no handshakes and masks are optional. Any additional guidelines will be posted on the door.

Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Medford Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, Whittlesey Masses will be held on Saturdays at 4 p.m. at Holy Rosary and 6:30 p.m. at Our Lady of Perpetual Help.

Masses will be held on Sundays at 8:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. at Holy Rosary.

Medford United Methodist Church Rib Lake United Methodist Church Services will be held on Sundays at 8:15 a.m. in Rib Lake and 10:15 a.m. in Medford.

There is no Sunday School at this time.
