Two-vehicle accidents

Timothy D. Zwicke, 57, Park Falls, and Garret M. Hill, 19, Medford, were involved in an accident on March 16 at 12:19 p.m. at the intersection of Hwy 13 and Allman Street in the city of Medford. According to the accident report, the Hill vehicle was eastbound on Allman Street and in the roundabout at the intersection with Hwy 13. The Zwicke vehicle was southbound on Hwy 13 and entered the roundabout as the Hill vehicle crossed in front of it. The front bumper of the Zwicke vehicle caught the rear bumper of the Hill vehicle and the bumper was tore off. The Zwicke vehicle also sustained damage to the front driver’s side quarter panel. There was no damage to the Hill vehicle. Failure to yield the right-of-way by Zwicke was listed in the report as a factor in the accident.

Scott M. Thompson, 54, Medford, and Edward F. Walczak, 83, Medford, were involved in an accident on March 17 at 1:15 p.m. at the intersection of Taylor and North Second streets in the city of Medford. According to the accident report, the Walczak vehicle was southbound on North Second Street. The Thompson vehicle was westbound on Taylor Street and stopped for the stop sign at the intersection with North Second Street. Thompson did not see the Walczak vehicle and proceeded into the intersection where his vehicle struck the Walczak vehicle. The Thompson vehicle sustained minor damage to the front and left front corner. The Walczak vehicle sustained damage to the left side rear. Failure to yield the right-of-way by Thompson was listed in the report as a factor in the accident.

Elizabeth A. Hraby, 41, Medford, was involved in an accident on March 22 at 7:57 p.m. on Hwy 64 in the town of Goodrich. According to the accident report, the Hraby vehicle was eastbound on Hwy 64 when a deer ran into the roadway. The vehicle struck the deer, causing the side curtain airbags to deploy. A passenger in the vehicle, Jacob C. Hraby, 6, was struck by the airbag and complained of a sore ear, but was not transported for medical treatment. The vehicle sustained damage to the front and along the entire driver’s side.The vehicle was leaking a fluid believed to be transmission fluid and it was towed from the scene.

Ashlee T. Boss, 20, Wisconsin Rapids, on March 19 at 6:50 a.m. on Hwy 64 in the town of Browning.
