Mary Dona German
Mary Dona German peacefully left us surrounded by her family on August 17, 2026.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Mary Dona German was born on May 23, 1938, in Milwaukee, to Ted and Margaret Grammer. In August of 1956, she married the love of her life, Warren German and spent 70 wonderful years with him.
She always considered herself as a domestic engineer and interior decorator because of the creativeness of keeping a home with six children. Growing up on a farm taught her the value of hard work and being very passionate about completing the task at hand. She loved baking and was known for her wonderful meals. Playing cards and board games was her passion, especially Canasta. She was the keeper of the Holy Rosary scrapbook and proudly volunteered her time cleaning the church. Being a member of the St. Angela Circle PCCW, she spent countless hours donating her time and food at various Holy Rosary Catholic Church functions.
She will be dearly missed by her husband, Warren German; brothers: Richard (Janice) Grammer and Dennis Grammer; six children: Terry German, Kathy (Allan) Olson, Patricia German, Sheila (Ron) Konieczny, Tim (Oriela) German and Carla German; ten grandchildren: David German, Ben Weideman, Brian Weideman, Angela Weideman, Qourtnie Ohms, Carissa Randall, Andrew Konieczny, Miles German, Mary Luz German and Tristin Golatt; and ten great-grandchildren: Megdaline Weideman, Olivia Weideman, Abbigail Weideman, Willow Weideman, Isabella Weideman, Micaela Weideman, Davis Weideman, Ellie Larson, Easton Larson and Callum Konieczny. She was predeceased by her parents sister, Beverly Peissig, daughter-in-law, Rose German and many other beloved family and friends.
A Mass of Christian burial was held at 11 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 24, 2026, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Owen. Father Adam Laski presided. Interment followed at Riverside Cemetery in Owen. Friends greeted the family on Sunday, Aug. 23, from 2-5 p.m. where the Rosary was recited at 4:45 at the Maurina-Schilling Funeral Home in Owen and on Monday from 10 a.m. until the time of the Mass at the church. The honor of pallbearers belonged to her grandsons: David, Ben, Brian, Andrew, Miles and Tristin.
