Ivan Brubaker

Ivan Weaver Brubaker, age 72 years, 5 months, 9 days of Thorp, passed away on Sunday, July 12, 2026, at his home.

Services will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Friday, July 17, 2026, at Maple Valley Church, N13544 Bachelor Ave, Thorp. Philip Hoover, Virgil Nolt, Clyde Brubaker, Cleon Hoover, Sheldon Nolt and Jonas Hoover will serve as pallbearers.

Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. and from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Thursday, July 16,2026, at his residence (N13191 Fisher Ave.) in rural Thorp.

The Maurina-Schilling Funeral Home in Owen is entrusted with the arrangements.

Ivan was born on February 3,1954, the son of Allen and Esther (Weaver) Brubaker in Ephrata, Pa. He was united in marriage to Ruth Ann Martin on March 9,1978, in Denver, Pa. Ivan retired as a dairy farmer.

Ivan is survived by his wife of 48 years, Ruth Ann; seven children: Marian (Ivan) Nolt, Lucy (Adin) Hoover, Andrew (Lucinda) Brubaker, Stanley (Linda) Brubaker, Stella Brubaker, Russel (Annetta) Brubaker and Carrie Brubaker; 38 grandchildren: Philip Hoover, Grace Nolt, Ina Nolt, Nora Hoover, Phoebe Nolt, Kathryn Hoover, Virgil Nolt, Cleon Hoover, Clyde Brubaker, Sheldon Nolt, Amanda Hoover, LuErma Brubaker, Geneva Nolt, Jonas Hoover, Virginia Brubaker, Joanne Brubaker, Galen Nolt, Elias Hoover, Floyd Brubaker, Stanley Hoover, Stella Hoover, Alma Brubaker, Perceda Nolt, Clara Brubaker, Rose Brubaker, Lowell Hoover, Joel Brubaker, Julia Brubaker, Albert Nolt, John Ivan Hoover, Allen Brubaker, Lavern Brubaker, Clarence Nolt, Marlene Brubaker, Annie Marie Brubaker, Sylvan Hoover, Sharon Brubaker and Abner Brubaker. He is further survived by ten brothers and four sisters: Irvin, Paul, Allen Jr., Aaron, Emma, Earl, John, Mary, Noah, Esther, Elvin, Leroy, Mabel and Marvin; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Allen and Esther Brubaker and his brother, Harvey Brubaker.
