Ronald L. Wiese 1946-2026
Ronald L. Wiese, age 80, of Stetsonville, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Thursday, May 28, 2026, at his home under the tender care of Hope Hospice.
A private graveside service will be held at Stetsonville Public Cemetery with Military Honors provided by Stetsonville American Legion Post #519. The Maurina-Schilling Funeral Home in Abbotsford is entrusted with the arrangements.
Ronald was born on Feb. 15, 1946, the son of Irwin and Lorna (Yokers) in Pecatonica, 111. He graduated from Pecatonica High School. Ronald was drafted into the military and served in the Marine Corps in Vietnam where he was awarded the Purple Heart. Ronald was united in marriage to Lana Bruning in Pecatonica, 111. on Aug. 24, 1966. Ron and Lana moved to Stetsonville in 1972. Together, they farmed until 1991. He also worked construction, drove a milk truck and worked at a commercial recycling center.
Ronald was an avid woodworker and liked to build things. He also restored tractors and vehicles. Most days you could catch him tinkering in the shop or mowing the lawn. Ronald was also an avid reader and especially enjoyed reading books from Clive Cussler, Louis Lamour, or John Grisham, just to name a few. Before Lana passed away, they liked to take weekend get-a-aways, which included rummage sales and wineries.
Ronald is survived by his four sons, David Wiese, of Wisconsin Rapids, Bradley (Wendy) Wiese, of Curtiss, Jeremy (Annette) Wiese, of Dorchester, and Jason Wiese, of Stetsonville; 14 grandchildren, Katie (Nate) Bachman, Kelly (Floyd) LaBar, Zackry Wiese, Dereck Wiese, Jared Wiese, Alex (Vanessa) Wiese, Brady Grata, Issaic Wiese, Lucas Wiese, Sarah (Hunter) Brandt, Jasmine Wiese (Robby Feint), Keith Wiese, Michael Hackbarth (Kandis Fieber), and Misty Wiese; eight great-grandchildren, Elliot, Lorraine, Ryon, Jackie, Leon, LilyAnne, Vivian and Adam. He is further survived by other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Lana; and his brother, Myron (Karen) Wiese.
