Joyce Wojcik

Joyce Wojcik, 92, Pittsville, passed away on Thursday, May 28, 2026, at Aster Assisted Living, Marshfield.

A memorial service was held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, June 3, 2026, at Sauter/Rembs Funeral Home, Stratford with visitation from 9 a.m. until the time of service. Burial followed at Ebenezer United Church of Christ Cemetery, Town of Cleveland, Marathon County.

Joyce was born on May 29, 1933, in Stratford, to John and Alinda (Wiesman) Landwehr. She graduated from Stratford High School.

Joyce was united in marriage to Donavan Bean on August 12,1952, at Ebenezer United Church of Christ. He passed away on October 5, 1984. She married Frank Wojcik on May 5, 1990. He died on September 18, 2022.

Joyce enjoyed playing Aggravation, doing jigsaw puzzles, knitting dishcloths and quilting. Most of all, she loved being with her grandkids, great-grandkids and her friends at Aster.

She is survived by her children: Christy (Gordon) Elsasser of Pittsville, Kevin (Rebecca) Bean of Crestwood, Ken., and Cindy (Steve) Redmond of Arpin; step-daughter, Ann Cahak of Rhinelander; nine grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, sisters: Mildred Hilgeman, Angeline Koehler, Ruth Yoder and Irene Kuyoth; and brothers: Roland, Lawrence, Benjamin and Roger Landwehr.
