Robert Redmann
It is with a sad heart that we announce the passing of our beloved Robert James Redmann, who passed away on April 6, 2026, at the age of eighty-seven.
He was a cherished son, brother and uncle to his family, and cherished friend to those who knew and worked with him.
Bobby was born on November 11,1938, at home in Edgar, to Hazel & Fred Redmann. Bobby grew up surrounded by family and friends. Bobby served his country in the United States Marine Corp as a corporal and was discharged in 1958. Bobby worked at several jobs with local businesses: Carl Johnson, Johnson Silo, Joe Burger, Stratford Builders and Marve Holbach, Holbach Concrete. Bobby was especially proud of the work he completed and often spoke of the different barns, silos, etc. that he helped build. Bobby was an avid reader, he enjoyed collecting books, coins and Jim Beam decanters and even emptied a few. “Bobba lu” also enjoyed socializing down at the bar with friends and neighbors.
Bobby was preceded in death by his sisters and brothers: Annetta Behrendt, Betty Jahnke, Charles, Fred (Fritz), Ernest, Hazel (Sis) and Frank (Bud).
Bobby is survived by his sister-in-law, Germaine Redmann, numerous nieces and nephews, and a wide circle of friends. Everyone who knows Bobby will remember him fondly.
Bobby received excellent care at the Colby Colonial Center. Thank you to the wonderful staff for their exceptional care, humor and patience with his expressive personality.
