Suzanne “Sue” Emilie Zenda Seeley peacefully entered eternal life, Monday, Dec. 8, 2025, in Chippewa Falls.

Born June 1, 1940, in Milwaukee, Sue was the daughter of Theodore and Ruth Zenda.

She grew up alongside her siblings, Judith and Theodore Jr., forming bonds that would shape her lifelong commitment to family and care.

Sue pursued a career in nursing, with unwavering dedication. After graduating from Marquette University School of Nursing, with a nursing certificate, she embarked on a vocation that would span six decades.

Her compassion and resilience defined her work as a nurse, a role she fulfilled until her retirement in 2020, at the remarkable age of 80.

Beyond her professional life, Sue embraced a wide array of interests, that reflected her vibrant spirit and curiosity. A graduate of the Ringling Bros. and Barnum Bailey Clown College, she brought joy and laughter to those around her, in unexpected ways.

She also held a green belt in Tae Kwon Do – an achievement that spoke to her strength and determination. She spent years teaching Sunday School and was a long-time member of the Cadott Methodist Church.

Sue found peace and pleasure in the simple joys of life, tending to her garden, preparing meals with love and watching wild birds from the comfort of her home. Her life was graced by the companionship of many cherished pets – faithful dogs and gentle cats. Visits from her many “granddoggies” always brought a smile to her face.

“Being there” for her children was a strong priority, traveling many miles, to support basketball teams or cook Thanksgiving dinner for family, and she more than once endured late-night basement band practice, without complaining.

She was a devoted mother to Wendy Rozhon, Daniel Teague, Joel (Sarah) Teague, Joshua Seeley and Jonathan Seeley; her legacy continues through her cherished grandchildren – Tamara, Amanda, Megan, George “Jake,” Madelyn, Mason, Joshua Jr., and Jaliyah; and as “Grandma the Great” to Weston, Auston, Chloe, Paizley and Louis.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother – Theodore; sister – Judith; and son-in-law – George.

A loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and aunt, Sue’s warmth touched generations. Her memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. May her memory bring comfort to all who were fortunate enough to share in her remarkable life.

Services are Saturday, Dec. 20, at the Cadott Methodist Church, with visitation beginning at 10 a.m., and the service at 11 a.m.

The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to the caregivers at Chippewa Manor Nursing Home and Heartland Hospice, for their kindness, support and compassionate care shown to Sue, in her time of need.
