Gloria Frieda Foiles

Gloria Frieda Foiles, 86, Cadott, passed away peacefully, Sunday, Nov. 30, 2025, at the Chippewa Manor in Chippewa Falls.

Gloria was born Feb. 10, 1939, to Frank and Ada (Klatt) Grimm, in Cadott.

She was raised in Chippewa County, Town of Delmar, and graduated from Cadott High School in 1957.

Gloria married Donald “Don” Foiles, Oct. 19, 1957, at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Boyd.

After marriage, they had a short stay in California, before Don was stationed at Ladd Air Force Base in Alaska. The newlyweds spent their first two years there. They moved back to Wisconsin, in 1959, and purchased a dairy farm in the Town of Goetz. They retired from farming in 1998. Gloria then worked for Courtesy Corporation (Mc-Donald’s) in Chippewa Falls, for a few years.

Gloria was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Cadott.

She is survived by her children – Robert Foiles, Cadott, Sue (Mark) Cance, Chippewa Falls, Frank (Sue) Foiles, Cadott, and Julie Darby, Eau Claire; six grandchildren – Brianne (Dan) Larson, Emily Kassera, Jason (Renee) Cance, Kyle (Rebecca) Cance, Derek Foiles and Brent (Allie) Foiles; seven great-grandchildren and one on the way; a great-great-granddaughter; and her sisters – Minnie Mc Connell and Florence Marks.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband – Donald; daughter – Jayne; brother – Dave Grimm; sisterin- law – Eloise Foiles; and brothers-in-law – Dallas (Lorraine) Foiles, Ray McConnell and Jim Marks.

Services for Gloria are at 11 a.m., Monday, Dec. 8, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Cadott, with Pastor Robert Hopkins officiating. Interment will be in the Countryside Union Cemetery, Town of Goetz, following the service.

Visitation is from 9 a.m., until the time of services, Monday morning, at the church.
